tough crowd, the medalists would be a combination/permutation of Miyabi Oba, Yasmin Siraj, Polina Shelepen, Polina Agafnova, and Zijun Li

I'd give gold/silver to Zijun Li and Polina Shelepen respectively, and Miyaba Oba, Yasmin Siraj, and Polina Agafnova fight for bronze. Either way, very strong field

Polina, Zijun, Yasmin. They were all in the final last year so I went with experience on this one. Yasmin's components were pretty high last year, and her Daphnis et Chloe short is very beautiful. With a clean skate they could be 6+, so that should make up for not as difficult base value.

I think Shelepen and Li but Agafanova can be displaced by Siraj

Yasmin, one or both Polinas, and if not both, then either Zijun or Miyabi.

Yasmin's SP was just too much to make up for in the LP, which wasn't even that clean. Too bad, Ashley Cain couldn't keep up her momentum either, but she dominated in PCS o_O

    Gerli was totally a wildcard

Shelepen had a great comeback with 2 3-3s, but she had boring programs. Loved Zijun Li's programs but needs to work on her consistency. I am slightly confused about Agafnova's TES though, I guess I'll just wait for the judges scores pdf online.

Gerli is very consistent with her jumps, last season she started skating really well at Estonian Nationals, then Euros and Jr. Worlds as well, so I'm not that surprised to see her do well here. Her jumps are huge!

Polina A had lots of jump mistakes in the FS, they just weren't that noticable, so her marks make sense to me. She usually is somewhat erratic in the FS this early in the season anyways.

Ashley is a very elegant skater but she looks a little emaciated to me, hope she's ok! But I expected she'd drop after the SP because that seems to be her forte.

I agree about Zijun and also Polina S, though I will say I saw definite improvement in Polina's spins and packaging. Also idk if it was the music and costume choices, or the big jumps, but she's starting to really remind me of Miki Ando.
