Between Lam's huge flutzes, non-speed and jumps that never left the ice, and Agafonova's horrible axel and toe-axel, it's like watching Caroline Zhang in her hay day again. :cheer:

BTW I find it ridiculous that Lam and Li virtually tied on PCS. Li and Sato should have easily won PCS.

Li's flutz bothers me far more than Lam's. :yikes:

I enjoyed Li's skating a lot, aside from the flutz. (And not like I haven't gotten plenty of experience with ladies who flutz in the US.)

Nice to see China with such a competitive ladies skater again.

It's funny because it's true

Can't really get into Lam's skating. The posture and the horrid jumps kind of kill it for me.

Who is Miu Sato? Her lutz is awesome and her spins are very good also! Her axel is a little odd and she seems to lack stamina, but she has a lot of talent.

    Miu Sato = Mini Ando

They look the same, they skate the same, they wear similar costumes, they have the same big jumps, and they do the same pitching forward of their backs while they are stroking.

Just my opinion of course. She is very talented, right now she's not quite on par with Shoji or Miyahara, but I think she has the tools she needs to get up to that calliber in the future, especially because I am unsure if Miyahara will survive puberty with her teeny tiny jumps.

I prefer Sato over Miyahara. Sato's glide across the ice is gorgeous, as is her Lutz. Miyahara spins well, but her jumps are itty-bitty (like Lam's), and that's one thing that really bugs me. :shuffle:

I think Sato could be a serious senior-level medal threat in the next few years, especially if she stays healthy and gets better choreography.

I thought Li's jumps look like Yuna's, quick rotation, across the ice, very nice. I could not see if she flutz tho...

I don't think Li's lutz has an outside edge at all..it looks like Sasha Cohen's IMO. :/ Though I love the rest of her skating. :)

i think any skater who has had Mingzhu Li as a coach cannot hit an outside edge on a lutz... but i shouldn't generalize...

    Have to disagree with you.
All of girls now under coach of Mingzhu Li have correct edge for a lutz, except Zijun, sadly:(
