And they've been successful at bringing Marchei and Balde back after injury.

Has anyone heard how Jeremy's doing? I wonder if he'll be able to do his second GP now. Hope he's feeling/doing better. I hope he'll be at his best for Nationals (and hopefully Worlds)

Apparently Jeremy is going to TEB. Any news on how his injury/nerve issue is doing? Is this year worse than usual as far as injuries go? Rachael. Alissa, Johnny, Caitlins partner Josh, Evan.....

Abbott took the 4T out of his SP today at TEB and landed 3F+3T, 3Lz, 3A (SB 81.18, 1st place): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8O1PZAxfOQ

ETA this snippet from the press conference afterwards that was transcribed/posted in the Kiss and Cry forum:
Article before the SP: Anguished artist Abbott joins 'Miserables' in Paris

With the field in this competition he didn't need the quad anyways.

An improved FS performance from Skate America to Paris is good to see, and Jeremy's silver medal is the first GP medal by a U.S. man this fall. Here's his 3rd place FS (Italian commentators): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL14QJEAFxc

Excerpt from J-C Berlot's TEB Men's FS article for IN (be sure to read his eloquent "Anguished artist" article - link posted above, if you haven't already):

I'm happy to see that Jeremy's skating is receiving this kind of recognition and appreciation.

^^ ITA. Wonderful to see that the true artist Jeremy is and has always been (and that he has grown into being even moreso over the last two seasons) is being recognized, understood and appreciated. Probably a wonderful thing that Jeremy had the chance to paint the ice canvas in France (a place where many artists have blossomed and found refuge and inspiration). At the least, it is apparently a place where a skating journalist has discovered words to express some of what Jeremy evokes and inspires through his skating.

Kudos to Jeremy for persevering through his physical difficulties (in what was admittedly a somewhat weak field competitively). It's clear to me the judges marks show that if Jeremy can manage to find technical consistency and clean performances, he will be highly rewarded.

    ETA:
No matter what happens, Jeremy Abbott's artistic mastery of blade and movement on the ice will last in my memory far longer than the recall of podium placements, medal counts and CoP scores from anonymous judges.

Beautiful skate in both programs from Jeremy in TEB. Take the time to rest and heal well before Nationals.

It's my hope that Jeremy will one day be mentioned in the same company as John Curry, Janet Lynn, and Toller Cranston; as one who raised the level of artistry, combined with technique, in skating.

    ^^ Ah, yes, skatesindreams!

Already Jeremy has won my heart and my vote as the best artist of his generation of skaters.

In Jeremy's own words from the IN article posted above:

    I echo Jean-Christophe Berlot's apt sentiment:

Reading J-C Berlot's article, I feel like he was writing my love letter to Jeremy; loved the romantic sentiment between Jeremy, the ice, and the audience. <3 I too believe that Jeremy Abbott is the master artist of his generation of skaters! He picked up the mantle that was left by Lambiel, Buttle, and Savoie. It was wonderful to see "The Spy" program skated cleanly in France; what a jewel that program is for Abbott and I love how it stretches his versatility on the ice. He truly can interpret anything! "Bring Him Home" is coming along very nicely and I absolutely cannot wait to see it skated cleanly one day! Jeremy pours his heart onto the ice canvas in that program and I cannot wait for him to perfect that masterpiece one day. Talk about getting "the chills" . . . I am just thinking about it! :encore::swoon::cheer2:

Museksk8r, I love your post. I feel the same way. Ever since I saw Jeremy for the first time, I knew he is the musician of his generation. Even with his- then- very introverted ways and lack of EX numbers, he just lived music on ice. It is so wonderful to see him getting recognition for his- huge!- talent. And now that he choreographs his programs, he is a creative force, as well. It took him longer than some ( see Lambiel, an earlier bloomer), but Jeremy got to where his talents are realized and acknowledged. I am so happy for him.

I hope that he can have a great competition; and receive the scores/recognition he deserves, at US Nationals/Worlds.

So I saw Jeremy at TEB live and he was amazing - especially in the short. I also got to meet him afterward. He was so nice and took a picture with me even though his agent was telling him he had to leave.

Amen to all that! Was at TEB too and one thing I really liked aside from all his usual qualities was that he really fought though his LP and didn't lose his nerve when he made mistakes, it was good to see such determination.

I just only saw the competition on television, but loved the way Jeremy remained in character with the music throughout his free skate - even when some jumps were not landed quite perfectly.

Kurt and Tracy were extremely complementary to Jeremy, as choreographer and skater/artist, during their commentary for TEB.

Jeremy really need to clean his amazing pair of gems this year, just so i can put it on my fav list. Please win the US championship this year, my fav US men's skater.

His Bring me home remains amazing as the music.

Just bumping this up to express my respect for Jeremy Abbott as a skater, artist and person.

He has brought so much to the sport-so much more than Worlds placements, or Nationals placements.

Heart, originality, variety of expression, musicality, artistry. Just to watch him skate around is amazing.

I am not sure what his being left off the 4CC team means. Not sure what his most recent tweet means.

Retiring? I know it has to happen some day. Personally, I hope he recovers to skate again next season.

Either way, he deserves respect for his accomplishments.

Not sure where the idea of retirement came from..... Did not read that into his tweets.
Jeremy will come back next season, no doubt in my mind. He had a rough day. That's all. He needs to find his anchor and build from that.

But with no points from 4cc will he get gp invites? USFS dumped him from 4CC-will they even submit his name for the GP series?
