Jason confirmed during his media call today that he will not attempt the quad in either program at Worlds.

I believe that Jason has made a wise decision.
Better to have clean programs, beautifully skated; and raise his profile for the future.

lurves me Jason; he competed against my boys in Juv. Needless to say he won. His ponytail was down to the lower middle of his back at that point and I think the kids were 9 years old. We saw him at Juv Nationals (now defunct, they all go to big nationals) and he had a contingent of girls following him around and screaming his name.

Thx for the link. I'm not sure that Nick really summarizes, as he talks about the quad, and Jason's answers (inevitable questions and good answers), but I was pleasantly surprised about how much of the conference was taken by his relationship with Kori, with Rohene, and with his experience as the Nats champ and at the Olympics. Still as personable as ever.

Hmm, that kind of just looks like the normal top to me with regular dark pants instead of the tan ones with the fake boots, but IDK. I'm too lazy to check.

Good luck to Jason this week!

I wonder if he just doesn't have the costume pants on. (The top is probably what needs to be practiced in, since the free flowing part at the end could change the feel of his movements)

I'd be good with that. Fingers crossed for a luggage mishap en route.

The belt looks different. He usually has on a wide contrasting one & this looks narrow. So maybe they are tweaking the costume.

ETA on second thought maybe it's not narrower just darker? Really hard to tell with the light.

As much as I love Jason, the T&! competition pants are the color of yellow beetle exuviaie. A change would be great. But I have been conned by the earlier, simpler Juke costumes and the black and white vid leaves me no hope. I vote for practice pants.:(

Some very good news in this article. Looking forward to the new 3A timed entrance, new choreographic touches. Best of luck to Jason!
