That's my feeling too, especially since he hasn't taken a break in between seasons last year, and he must exhausted!

Anyway, let's wait for an announcement from Dai's camp: Morozov has the tendency to spill things out before the skaters, and maybe this is only a desperate attempt on his part not to look like he has lost control on Daisuke!

I do not trust Morozov too much and I know it is - maybe - too bad malice by my side, but IMO this could be interpreted also as an attempt by Morozov to shift the blame in advance on someone else (Kenji or Lori or even Dai), just in case....

After London, he tried to excuse his skaters for bad outcomes as results of injuries, fatigue or - mainly - lack of focus. All his skaters had bad outcomes, but he did not talk about possible not appropriate training. In this way, he put all blame on skaters...nice coach indeed

Should news of different options in SP/FP and choreos be confirmed by Dai's camp :) , it could mean Dai's will to keep decisional power in his hands (although it is big physical/mental effort :( as Dai seems never resting) and to avoid Morozov meddling too much in next season overall training. ;)

Morozov does programs in 5 minutes, so it should not be a big deal to learn them and to forget about them a month later.

Yes, please! I was really hoping he would go back to Carmelengo though. :( Or try David Wilson again.

I agree that Miyamoto is terrible underrated.

I hope he chooses lori and mayamoto. There choreography is much more interesting. Morozov uses the same boring s#@$ in every program.

A couple of weeks ago I received a surprise from the lovely Yuzuru Hanyu. :) An autographed photo and a little something else to go with it, a very pretty flower decal. :hat1:

Only now am I getting around to posting about it, then it will go into my gargantuan figure skating scrapbook, as always (ps: I'm sure it's in response to the present I gave him at 2012 Skate America):

To perhaps the 2014 Olympic Champion....

p.s. does anyone know what it states exactly? I'd appreciate any translation in advance, thanks mucho!

I could not find anything through google japan or on the JSF website, at any rate.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, they have been announced to take place in Saitama, and not in Tokyo proper (admitedly, it's pretty close though ;) )

I think there's been a bit of misunderstanding around the whole 4 programs thing - on all parts.

Several people on twitter who attended PIW last weekend reported that some asked Dai during the "meet & greet" that follows the gala (where the skaters go around the rink and stop to get flowers and gifts, thank people, etc) about what Morozov said and that he'd be doing four programs and that he looked REALLY surprised and didn't seem to be aware of that

Please note that the above doesn't come from official sources: however, I know some of the people who posted the info and they are usually reliable

There was however confirmation the day before in the Japanese press that there would be two SP for him to choose from (the press specifically mentioned the names of Kenji and Morozov), so I guess that bit is official now

Yuzuru is known to write a reply to every letter he received from fans . It is his long-time habit. I heard it's getting simpler these days though as he is much busier now than before since he moved his training base to Canada, has become famous and popular and is getting much more media attention now and this spring he also started his university study . It's amazing he still keeps that habit in such busy days.
Thanks for sharing. It is so lovely!
He could have written it in English though. :D

I have to say that it's big of Morozov to endorse this. I like his short programs for Dai but his free skates for all skaters are the same; tricks, catch breath by posing more tricks and steps with mild embellishments throughout. Eager to see how Lori packages Daisuke.

:cheer2: Thank you ostile for the link to the translation (and my thanks to Genki-san!)

Haven't had the time to watch the documentary yet, but I'll definitely make the time to do so sometime this week

On other news, Takahiko Kozuka has updated his blog with pics of his New York adventures, including one with Mao and Mai

No, I don't find yet a report that his child was born so far.

According to his twitter, Takahito Mura went to US to choreograph in May 15th.

I am going to go to choreograph!
It's good that I can use a day sufficiently because the departure is night! (^_^)
For the time being, I have a meal at the airport!
    Let's eat. m(_ _)m
