Jaime Escalante died

    I just heard that Jaime Escalante (the math teacher featured in the film "Stand and Deliver" died of cancer this morning. I heard it on NPR, a reliable news network. May he RIP.

    I heard about his death on the overnight network news shows in the early a.m. hours today. May he RIP.

    He was an amazing educator who was an inspiration to many of the rest of us.

    Ohhhh.... I heard he was gravely ill... glad he's no longer suffering, and may he rest in peace.

    Ihad never heard of him before the movie. But, it's one of my favorites because he was so inspiring. How lucky and privileged his students were. An amazing man. R.I.P.
