Not sure if this is the right forum :shuffle:

I'm thinking of getting an iPad for the holidays, but before I get one:
    - Can you stream IceNetwork on it?
    - What about the Russian streams like TvTeka?

Thanks, I figured FSU would be the place to ask.

No to IceNetwork; can't run anything on an iPad that requires Flash. Don't know about TvTeka.

You can run flash if you download the Puffin app. I watched NHK on my iPad last night.

If you are planning to watch skating on iPad you'd better be somewhere where there is a chance to charge your iPad, battery runs out pretty fast sometimes, 5-6 hours and it goes perfectly empty.

I have a Zagg portable charger that works great. I take my iPad on the train and watch movies on it and use the charger when it isn't convenient to plug into an outlet.

You should be able to use TvTeka on Apple devices (Apple TV, iPad, etc.) but I haven't tried. They have a section about use on devices on their website that I used to connect it to my Smart TV a few weeks ago.

I had been meaning to ask a similar question. What about all those random streams from Latvia, hahasport, the free Russian channel, etc? Do they generally work? And how about non-Apple tablets? If there's a good guide on this please share.

I am not sure about TvTeka and the random streams, but i am watching this season mostly on iPad using websites like Sportbox.ru and youtube as well as some others and so far I haven't had any problems with it - everything worked smoothly. I also used my iPad this spring to watch Game of Thrones on various EU websites and that worked okay as well.

Whenever I am in the vicinity of the TV with Apple TV box I just use AirPlay function to stream it all on the big screen.

I have a brand new Kindle Fire HDX. Downloaded Dolphin browser and IN works great with it.

I ended up getting the Google Nexus 7 and downloaded Dolphin. IN works but the tablet tends to reboot while I'm watching, so it's not the greatest connection.

TanithandBenFan - That's a shame, I haven't had reboots while watching on Firefox. What is a pain is the touch control (like when trying to fast-forward) and it can freeze if you pause and come back to it. Is your version of Dolphin from the Play Store or an older one? I thought they had disabled Flash for Android 4.1 and up since it's no longer officially supported.

Also have you updated to 4.4 (KitKat) yet? I've heard Flash may no longer work :( but haven't tried yet.

I just updated to KitKat and haven't tried watching IN since. I hope it still works! I got Dolphin through the Play Store. This weekend I'll be traveling and only bringing the tablet, so hopefully IN will work or someone will upload the GPF vids to YouTube very quickly!

I installed the Jetpack when I installed Dolphin so it hasn't helped the reboots but maybe it will still play with KitKat. I'll try it out later!

I installed the hacked Flash player in that thread and it works great! No reboots at all :)

Thanks for posting this! I wondered how to watch flash videos on my Nexus 7 and now I can. :)
