OK, let's go - which skater(s), past and present, do you find extremely dull/boring etc.? I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's probably just a matter of personal taste. I come up with my choices later.

PS: If you don't like this topic, just do not participate! ;) :)

Enough of the negativity, already! This topic has been done to death. Are there skaters whom I think are boring? Yes (a few), but I'm not going to insult them or their fans on a public forum.

Not versatile, no (real) charisma, simply ... boring, IMO:

Todd Eldredge, Michelle Kwan, Evan Lysacek, Elvis Stojko, Patrick "Candyman" Chan, Julia Sebystian, Nicole Nikodinov, Petrova/Tikhonov, Jeremy Abbott (overrated!), Zhang/Zhang ...

Oh, and who's this Nicole Nikodinov, again? :p

What does political correctness have to do with this thread?

Anyway, I find this thread extremely dull/boring. Contrary to the OP's believe, this thread isn't really anything new or special or really that controversial.

While I agree on some, some are just blasphemy! :p
I mean, the Kerrs?! Davis/White?! Delobel/Schoenfelder?! You just named pretty much half of my favourite dance teams of all time lol

Ok, there are just too many of those, who are boring to me (for example like 80% of the current ladies), but the most extreme cases would be:
    all Chinese skaters, except Sui/Han
    Petrova/Tikhonov
    Totmianina/Marinin
    Patrick Chan
    Evan Lysacek
    Brandon Mroz
    Grushina/Goncharov
    Dubreuil/Lazon
don't remember Todd Eldredge too well, but as much as I can recall, he truly was

P.S. There is a whole bunch of skaters, who are not exactly boring for me, but extremely irritating, which is even worse. Wanna make another topic of negativity? I'm all for it :p

WOW!! Im surprised so many people consider Kwan boring, meanwhile I think she had one of the best choreographies ever.

Roxanne, if you hadn't put down the name of Johnny Weir, you would have written almost all of my favorites

LOL, until Takahashi and Weir, I didn't realize this was supposed to be sarcasm. :saint: Just goes to show how everyone's tastes can differ. :)

People say Kwan because she continuously beat their favorites over 10 years of competition. Sour grapes, I tell ya, sour grapes (which, incidentally, could be purple)!

Kwan was almost done when I started to follow skating, but I always found her boring. Well, not boring, but I failed to see something special in her that most of the people saw. Maybe I had felt different if I had been following skating while she was still on her prime.

I think most of the top skaters are interesting. It is the lower ranked skaters with bad basics and generic music that make me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

My vote would go to Eltsova/Bushkov... very good technician, but no much more for me.

I saw nothing really special in Kwan's skating either. It seems a bit of an American myth that she was adored around the world.

At the start of her career, she had some interesting music choices. But towards the end she was skating to the warhorses and really had no choreography.

Honestly, Virtue and Moir. They are the type of couple who you can tell are good, but their programs and style are so snooze worthy that I cant remember a single memorable thing about them.
