The first Seder (if you are celebrating it outside Israel-you have to do it twice) is on Monday evening. Passover, Pesach in Hebrew, got its name from the word passed over. During the ten plagues, G-D passed over the Jewish houses. Passover has 4 names: Chag HaPesach/Passover; Chag HaAviv/The Holiday of the Spring (it happens on Spring); Chag HaMatzot/The Holiday of the Matzas (we eat lots of those during that holiday ); and Chag HaCherut/The Holiday of Freedom. May those of you who celebrate this Holiday of Freedom, have: A Zissen Pesach! Happy Passover! !חַג פֶּסַח שָׂמֵחַ And it always makes me when tradition meets modernity like in this commercial for the movies channel in Israel.
