We know that now but since I couldn't see the scores, all I knew was that she fell so she would be out.

What a great start for Ellie Black of Canada, qualifying 9th for AA finals (taking out Maroney) and making floor finals, along with being first reserve for vault. And while I am :wuzrobbed: that Moors fell on floor so no event finals for her, she seems to have had a solid day otherwise and will at least be able to compete in AA (and have a second chance at getting the double twisting double layout named after her since I'm presuming it wouldn't have been with the fall).

Of course, considering she is the new judges darling....
That Amanar deserved 9.6 for execution? With those crossed legs and big step at landing?
Also, would Biles UB set have received the same score had she been a gymnast from a another country and not USA?
And her floor is :scream: Great tumbler, but nothing else.

So, this is my first time seeing Biles and...meh, just meh. Sure, she's powerful, but she's got all the gracefulness of an ox. Anyone but her for champion, please; Ross would be a much more pleasant alternative.

And Marta needs to can it...she's just peeved that the US doesn't have a really strong bar worker. Even disregarding the age comments, I want her out; she seems witchy and she's been around for way too long. It's time for a change up, please. And Huang doesn't even look underaged...I remember those mewling about Shang, and I've just found out that she's a member of the Tujia ethnic minority, who are traditionally even smaller sized than the Han! The insistence that Shang is underaged is just as offensive as saying that Caster Semenya is a man or has a gender disorder - they can't help their genetics.

A sore loser, yes, but a racist? I have to respectfully disagree. Martha shouldn't be saying things like that in her position, but those are not racist comments, sorry.

To watch BBC coverage of worlds on line

Install Anonymx add-on using Mozilla Firefox
    Re/start mozilla
The anonymx icon will show at the right bottom of your browser, double click and set 'active' then chose one of the options of UK IP (it will switch)

    Go to
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/17151954

And there you will have the options for the coverage of what the BBC will show of the world championships

Only Uchimura can land a vault folded completely in half and still get a 9.333 E-score. :slinkaway

Jossimar Orlando Calvo Morino from Colombia. Poor guy had a hard crash on a release move before that, even.

Swiss guy had a broken hand guard on HB and then was booted off the podium because his 30 seconds expired. The audience booed the officials when that happened.

Yes, he was in third and blew high bar.
Total class act about it though. Smiling and congratulating everyone else.

:( about Sam :wall: he should still be in position to win an AA medal next year though.

Amazing that Uchimura was the first 3-time world AA winner - now he's got 4. by 2016 he might have 6 along with his second Olympic AA gold medal. I'd say his best of all-time status is now set in stone.

Gutted for Sam...so close to a medal! I'm glad Fabi snuck in for the bronze but still...*cries* At least he was in good spirits.

What more can you say about Uchimura? Rock star.

I'm sad that neither of the Brit boys managed to grab a medal but I must admit I love the podium. Well deserved!
