    There have many GOAT polls down the years. So this is a GOAT poll with a difference - a regional GOAT poll.

    Hence, who is the greatest ladies singles skater from North America of all time?

    Nominations will be controversial, so apologies if I have missed out anybodies favourite - in which case just choose 'other'

    Exactly. Kwan will win this poll in a landslide and Ito will win the Asian poll in a landslide. No suspense whatsoever.

    hey, ya neveah know. If you'd told me that Irina would be beating both Henie and Witt as best Euro Lady Ever, I'd say you were smoking ESTA's crack pipe, no body could possibly actually believe that! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    I voted Janet Lynn because I believe she is the greatest skater ever from North America. I'd vote for the Kween if the poll asked for the greatest competitor. :)

    I voted Peggy Fleming. She had artistry, athleticism AND she could do those medal-chance-killing figures!

    I voted for Michelle Kwan for a few reasons:

    1. Her record is unprecedented and unreplicated;
    2. I grew up in the Kwan era;
    3. She's one of a very small number of skaters who've moved me to tears over a program.

    LOL
    She got my vote immediatly after reading her name in the poll option. But I'm not surprised at all at the overall results !

    I voted for Kristi Yamaguchi. Even though she was pro some of the time she was easily the best female skater in the World from 1991-1995, and she would have still been competing with the likes of Kwan, Lipinski, and Chen for gold up until 1998 based on her skill set displayed in pro competitions.

    Dorothy Hamill would have been my 2nd choice. Michelle Kwan and Janet Lynn my 3rd and 4th choices.

    Although they won't be leaders in the poll, it would be nice to include Petra Burka and Karen Magnussen, since they are world champions, rather than relegating them to 'other'.

    I actually think Liz and Joanne were better skaters. I guess there is only so much room on a poll, but then again, once you read Cohen as an option it's hard to vote with all of the belly shaking :lol: and :rofl:
    Sasha hype (tm) :rollin:
    Someone's been :hat1: with ESTA :cool:

    There arent 30 poll options you know (which is how many there would need to be for Burka to warrant inclusion).

    Hughes and Lipinski wouldn't be on my list in the first place, but as for the rest, I might as well just pick one out of the hat.

    Reference below: :D

    Only difference for me is Michelle is the only skater who has ever moved me to tears...

    Come on, Gracie can't be in this poll. She'll be the only option in a poll for "Most Awesomest Awesome Skater Who Cannot Be Compared Ever In Life to Anyone Because She's So Freakin' Awesome!" :rolleyes:
