She wasnt the most consistent of course but just in terms of pure quality when landed for a solo triple lutz, my pick is Harding. So I voted for her.

In terms of combination of great quality, consistency, and using it in harder combinations I would pick Yu Na Kim first and Miki Ando second.

I picked Tonya too, but we just watched that 1994 mammoth sized lutz she did at nationals. Some of today's US men probably can't rival it. Yu Na Kim gets the most points for quality and consistency. If I wanted to mention someone inconsistent but brilliant it would be Volchkova. She had close to the speed and power of Harding if she was actually focused and not screwing up--which was rare.

Between Nancy Kerrigan and Viktoria Volchkova because they have no vote ! So, my vote goes to Nancy's 3Lz, such a perfect technique and control on the landing.
Why Irina Slutskaya and Tanja Swewczenko are on the list ? Elena Sokolova, Vanessa Gusmeroli and many others had better 3Lz ! ;)

I don't remember Volchkova having good speed and flow on the 3lz landing. Szewczenko's landing on her 3ltz also wasn't very good.

I'd say Yuna has the most beautiful 3lutz of anyone. The ease, flow, speed in and out of the jump, distance, height and the security of her 3luz are all excellant.

Malinina should be on the list - is her omission simply because she seems unfashionable? Also, when she didn't double-foot it (something which she did quite often of course), Baiul's triple lutz was pretty spectacular.

Ito, Harding, and Kim all had or have amazing technique on the lutz. :)

Tonya's lutz is just wow. Huge! Yu-na's is awesome too, close second.

nice szewczenko is in. she had a great lutz, although most of the time two footed or stepped out, but if she was on, this was a huge thing!

You are crazy. Gusmeroli and Sokolova dont do a single jump better than Slutskaya. Had they been on the poll they would have gotten no votes, and Irina has some so obviously poll starter made right choice.

Szewcenko had a huge lutz when on, although I would bump her from the poll definitely not in favor of Gusmeroli or Sokolova, but someone like Malinina.

    Hahahaaa
Your first post is really nice. ;)
But really, Slutskaya's Lutz is not good. She was so much better in edge jumps. Her Lutz was on flat, was telegraphed, with no speed on the landing. It had great height.

Slutskaya's lutz was terrific with enormous height, great control, a true outside edge. So Gusmeroli's with a flutz, much less height, and ugly whippy landing even when successful was better. You are funny. Given your name and that you are probably the only one who would try to argue Gusmeroli doing any jumps better than Slutskaya I am guessing you are French.

I agree with your memory of Volchkova, because in competition it was very rare. But I've seen it with my own eyes. She could do an excellent 3Lz-3T.

Regarding Szewczenko, I also agree. I am not sure she belongs in this list, but she got a lot of height.

I would have voted for Malinina, but voted for Harding over Kim because Harding's Lutz had a better/deeper outside edge and had more distinction between her Lutz and flip technique.

Honorable mention: Ye Bin Mok also had amazing hang time on her Lutz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qlv6n5EQq3U

It's obvious that at least 10+ ladies have/had very good litzes. However, how many of them have/had ltz with all of the following qualities at once:
. Speed and flow in and out of the jump
    . Good height
    . Jump covers good distance
    . True outside edge
    . Controlled and smooth landings
    . Consistency and reliability
    . Effortlessness

    I'd say only Yuna's qualifies.

One thing I can't help but admire is Mok's 2A. She had such beautiful timing and a delicate landing on it.

Yuna Kim's 3 lutz is wonderful, but I picked Tonya. Her 3 lutz was even more  IMO

Volchkova had great spring and a correct edge but little flow out of the jump. She shouldn't be considered. In fact, I think Sokolova's was superior, especially in the latter part of her career. Just as much height, an extreme outside edge, and really good speed in and out of the jump.

However, both are second-tier, but not the best of all time.

Malinina is my pick for runner-up. So much extra time on the way down an great flow on the landing with a landing position that was very aesthetically pleasing, even if it wasn't conductive for combination jumps.

For me, it's gotta be Harding, in her peak form. Super height, great outside edge, but unparalled speed and flow out of the jump. In fact, I wish I could lose my virginity to Harding's 3lutz. :yikes:

Butyrskaya for that pure, deep outside edge alone.

Thank you for mentioning her. She often does not get credit for what she does well. She had a pure lutz in days when flutzes were common and not marked down.

I proudly introduce you Mutsumi Takayama, as I assume most of you have never heard of her. ;) Her 3Lz was gem in the night of Japanese Nationals. Her 3Lz is as breathtaking as Midori's IMO and she's so much loved for it.

It really depends on what you prefer. The 2 that are the most  in my opinion are yuna & midori

But if u like jumps that look effortless then the best would probably be midori, or agnes.

Or if you like lots of height it would be Slutskaya, Volchokova or Sebestyan

If u like great distance then tonya or Gracie might be your favourite.

All are very deserving of having the highest amount of votes. its just which one u prefer

Maybe it is just me and I have met my Gracie overload. But I think it is premature to include Gold on this list of proven veterans with only one fair GP season under her belt. It even made me nervous to see Agnes on the list with Ando, Ito, Kim etc,
Too much too soon. I think she has great ability and is a very pretty girl but I think she is given credit in advance of what we think she can do instead of what she has actually accomplished thus far.
