I've had Ho Hey on my playlist for over a year. I think the first version I had was rip from a youtube. I bought their album soon after it was released. Hope they win, but Fun is going to be hard to beat. What a great category this year.

What is the difference between Song of the Year and Record of the Year?

I think song goes to the writer and record goes to the performer.

fun. winning Best New Artist over anyone else in the category (especially Alabama Shakes and The Lumineers) is ridiculous.

I think song of the year goes to the songwriter

Song of the Year is a songwriting award. Record goes to performer, and I think producer.

I like the way Carrie changed the song but she is always singing through her nose.

Carrie must have been taken enunciation lessons from John Mayer. Her dress is gorgeous. I like it better when she sings songs that a little bit more country.

eta- okay now her dress is creepy

Oh, so they turned Carrie's dress into a screen or some sort. Absolutely show stopping.

This. That was just odd with her otherwise elegant dress.

I am so glad that Goyte won with that song. It is a brilliant pop song- an earworm that is pleasant.

eta- Love love love Kimbras dress. My favourite of the night.

WHY are we seeing TAYLOR at every turn of the camera? WHY

And just for IceAlisa - that is a trainwreck! or a costume that some Russian ice dancer would wear

Gotye was a deserving winner. I got irritated with that song after a while, but there's no denying it is a very strong pop song.

I really want Mumford & Sons to win album of the year. I love them! I don't think it's happening though since they already lost to the Black Keys in the rock categories.

That was the weirdest montage of deceased members - some of them got their own songs, and others were just grouped together in seemingly unrelated groups (at least to me).
