I recently bought the following from Sephora:

    Nars Mandchourie Eye Shadow Duo
Benefits Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow in Strut and Tattle Tale
    Kat Von D's Sinful Mascara

Nars 2011 Holiday Collection is pretty decent. The Ms Liberty blush/highlighter looks incredible.
    Nars Cosmetics 2011 Holiday Collection

Sephora's Sale starts on Nov 10 through 14, 20% off. If you are a beauty insider member.

I have a budget set for the sale :p

    I hear ya.

But, you need to ask yourself, do you need skincare or is it time for a new mascara(s)? :p

*Mascaras are supposed to be dumped after a 3 to 4 months(due to the bacteria buildup with the product)

Just got a new mascara during the last sale. And skincare.

I could always use a tub of Purity but it's out of stock. I seem to be out of excuses to shop...but there's that Pacifica Island Vanilla, a rather delightful vanilla scent. :shuffle: And the roll-on is only $12. Somebody stop me! :drama:

Yeah--I'm struggling with this right now. I'm trying to cut down on my "fun" spending, but I really want to cash in on this deal. :shuffle:

Hypnotic Poison. Even PRkid agreed it smelled :swoon:

Bit too much for work wear, though. If I ever find someone I want to seduce, ever again, I know what I'm wearing.

I've already given in--in my defense, I got 3 items for my sister (for Xmas). I figured that I might as well spend my money while I still have some. :slinkaway

It's going to be hard to cut back starting at the end of the month!

Me too,me too. I don't do too much blush, but eye shadows and eyeliner are a weakness of mine.I've been wearing a sort of Army green lately because my eyes are brown/green and it really makes the green stand out.I am dying to try some brigher eye shadow colors though, like a turquoise or a brighter violet,I've been way too neutral for too long I think.

I'm not a fan of the original Poison, but the reworked reissues are all very nice.

Try eBay for a mini or a set of samples, or the enterprising ladies of the www.perfumedcourt.com will be able to sell a small decant for a good price. :) I heart them.

What's Giorgio? Guess only Poison was big enough to make it through the Iron Curtain to the black market.

Speaking of perfume, has anyone smelled Prada's Candy or Betsey Johnson Too Too?

I absolutely loved Prada's Candy and Betsey's fragance was great too.

I did and really like Make Up For Ever's Face and Body. I was hoping that the MAC would be ok since it's such a huge bottle and way beyond the return date. It still works for body, just not my face.

Prada Candy sounds like I would love it. The more sugar and vanilla, the better. :EVILLE:

    And this thread is :EVILLE:

topaz, could you please describe your impressions of Candy?

The trainee stylist called today, asking if I could be a highlights hair model again. Who am I to say no...?
I figure the longer I can get color for only 10 bucks, the better.

ETA: If you're interested in looking at some mildly sciencey stuff, I just came across this website called www.makingcosmetics.com. It breaks down all the ingredients that goes into skin care, hair care, etc and explains what their properties are.

I thought Prada's Candy was freaking fantastic. It has a sweet spicy smell. According to perfume.com
So it should be right up your alley. Its only available at NeimanMarcus!

    NeimanMarcus, Prada Candy Gorgeous bottle!!!

I am ordering it online this weekend. I received a sample in a magazine in September and fell in love. It smells great with on me.

*side note, Dior's Poison use to be my signature fragrance in my late teens and mid twenties :)
I always received compliments when I wore it to.

I haven't bought perfume in 4 years though. My last purchase was Robert Piguet's Fracas. Which I love.

Oh yeah, it IS up my alley. :drama: Candy is also apparently available at Nordstrom. This thread is nothing but trouble.

Fracas and Poison are both iconic fragrances.

I walked into Sephora and managed to get away with only buying a couple of nail polishes. Phew! I'm loving the magnetic nail polish. It's awesome :)

Now that the cooler weather is here I am back to wearing my deeper scent: Magical Moon by Hanae Mori. IceAlisa would probably hate it because it's a lot of sandalwood and patchouli. But there's also a lot of coconut milk, sugar cane and vanilla. It wears so nice and creamy and it really melts into you, it's soft and lush and there aren't any sharp angles hanging around but there's a nice shot of darkness and seduction stirred up in that coconut milk.

I WANT IT but I'm trying to save money. And failing.

Okay so after looking at that ingredients website, then looking at the Wen ingredients, and then looking at the ingredients of my favorite conditioner, I feel like I could just use my conditioner and get similar results. :shuffle: I should probably spend my free time doing more productive things, but no, I look up conditioner ingredients.

Thank you for that link... I ♥ sample sized perfumes, it allows me to have all kinds of different ones to try without the big commitment, lol. Their gourmand sample packs!:swoon:

Except for Opium which I also hated. :scream:

I would never have tried Hypnotic Poison because I hated the original back in the '80s. The satan of a perfume book raved about it. I sprayed it on and walked around the airport for twenty minutes and damn if it didn't smell even better once it had transitioned. So I bought it. :shuffle:
