This is worse than ever. She usually falls on jumps and throw jumps. Her throw jumps seem to be solid in this competition, her side by side jumps are bad but that's pretty normal for them. But usually she doesn't fall on transitions. In this competition she fell three times on non-jump elements and transitions, twice in the SP and once in the FS. Once while doing completely nothing, she tripped over her toe picks - that's not her usual skating. Then she trips again over her toe pick while getting ready for death spiral (in the SP)... How long has she been doing death spirals? That's a mistake that should have been avoided. You can have one freaky fall, but two in the same program? What is going on? Two falls in the SP on non-jump element? And then again in the FS messing up again death spiral (different one than in the SP). If you are saying that this is not worse than ever, please find me a link with their program where she keeps falling on other non jump elements. Unfortunately jumps are generally not her strong point, but the rest must be solid if she wants to get away with not landing jumps, otherwise where are they going to earn the points?

i once more refer to savchenko/szolkowys free skate at teb2009 in relation to the freaky fall question.

i agree i what you said about, if she´s having her usual problems with jumps, the rest should be solid and okay.
i didn´t know there was such a mistake again in the free skate.
for me, i rather prefer her having solid landings on the throw jumps (which wasn´t the case in earlier times) and hoping the freaky falls just WERE freaky falls in a freaky competition for them and nothing which gives a statement about their current status.

we´ve just another point of perspective and for me (as a supporter of the team) i just hope they can put two solid programs at RC and this old competetion just was a bad bad bad experience.

I know that one fall can be perceived as freaky fall, but we are talking about three falls within two programs. Each of the programs would have been on a different day, so you can't even say 'bad day'. I really like M&R, but watching that was shortening my life! (If at least the jumps were solid then, but she did not land her side by side jumps either. She did have solid throw jumps, at least that worked.)

I get what you're saying, hanca. Anastasia struggles with the jumps, everyone knows that. But when pairs struggle with jumps, you sort of expect them to do very well in the other elements to make up for that. I didn't watch the vid, but M&R are usually a very elegant couple, so I can see how 3 falls would be extremely disruptive and make one think "great, now I have to worry that even if by some miracle she lands all the jumps, the program could still be a mess."

Yes, Cherub, that was exactly what I meant. And especially when the competition was just a few days ago and their GP event is this week. You start wondering 'Are they injured, or what is going on?' Also, if this was in September, you could be thinking that it is early in the season, but November is not that early in the season. Their nationals will be in five or six weeks time, so there is not that much time left.

Martiusheva/Rogonov didn't bomb at CoR, well typical SBS error ( she doubles her 3S) but the the triple twist and 3F throw was very lovely :cheer2:

Wow, the difference in scores for the Short Dance between B/S and I/K is miniscule, and all in PCS. It is going to be sooo interesting to see them battling it out this year. As long as the Federation lets them duke it out, rather than supporting I/K outright, it'll be fierce.

Let's see what happens in the FD. I wonder if the judges will be brazen enough to reward "I'm talking to you Esse" with more points than Bobrova and Soloviev's FD (I'm not even going to think about them getting anything close to what they got in Romania)

 I hope you are right!
Although I/K still have this amazing star quality. But awful material kills it for me.

Gorshkov is small for a pairs skater ... who could be his partner? Is Polina Agafonova still petite? If so, maybe they should both team up and move to pairs cause they dont stand a chance in singles right now.

Gordi Pots didn't get any senior B comps because he has no stable 3axel or quad. He skated at the Federation Cup. Fell on the triple axel, which he actually manage to rotate for the 1st time, surprisingly. Then effed up his combo. Came in last and decided not to do his long program and left Urmanov and joined Moskvina group. Don't know how much was actually his decision but whatever I'll still be a fan. And he's taller than what is being listed, same height as Gachinski (175cm), still small though.

Really wish he had taken Agafonava (or Deeva) with him. She's regressing under Urmanov and still has no power or speed and is tiny enough for Gorshkov. Or maybe she should get another coach altogether.

I'll always lurve Gordi Pots no matter what he's doing :)
If they can find him a tiny partner like Agafonova, this could actually turn out well.

^Well yeah I'm an uber and I'll always be a fan and will always support him regardless of what he's doing or what people think of his "potential." But I really hate pairs

    Good luck to him :cheer2:

Gorshkov is too short to go to pairs he needs a midget partner
like Agafonova who he needs to drag into pairs, she is hopeless as a singles skater

i just hope to see gorshkov skating, single or pairs doesn´t matter.
i really like him and hope there will be a girl for him.

by the way. what´s with nodari maisuradze? shouldn´t he and his new partner (forgotten the name) start at one of the russian cup series? any word of them?

Ditto. And I think Nodari + partner is supposed to start later like at Russian Cup 4 or 5. Russian Cup 4 starts this week and the entry list usually shows up the day the event starts.

Agafonova is still tiny but not as small as she once was. Russian site says 154 cm. So she is a good size for pairs and yes, unfortunately, in Russia, she will go nowhere in singles. I was hoping she could pair up with Nodari but I guess he already has a new partner. If Davankova outgrows Deputat, which is looking likely at this point, that could be a good option for Agafonova. She has a lot of qualities that would make her a good pairs skater IMO.

Now he's singing along during the "Unchained Melody" part.

He's acting out the entire thing with him playing all the parts.

This tops all the other Morozov vids by far.

you mean Agafonova with Deputat ? I think he one with the most safest height for her would be Moroshkin, Deputat I realized is not that tall
though I doubt they ill break up Fedorova/Moroshkin by height alone is the safest bet for her to never outgrow him, Fedorova is a midget also for a 15 year old

Yeah Agafonova and Deputat. He's listed as 180 cm so almost 5'11" so Agafonova at almost 5'1" would be a good height match, I doubt she's growing any more as she's 16 and a half. She'd really just need a partner around 178 cm or taller, and maybe even shorter like 175 if he were to be very strong in build. Agafonova isn't a stick build but she's very small boned and likely weighs very little, so she doesn't really need a tall partner.

So... he actually is really emotionally invested in this? It isn't all a joke that they're going to change at the last minute to show record improvement? HE ACTUALLY THINKS THIS IS A GOOD PROGRAM?!?
