Maé-Bérénice Méité could win this year. She's had the best scores of the French ladies this season.

^ She's not on the list of entries. Maybe she's competing for the Andorran title this year.

I hope Mae-Berenice wins. I like Lena very much, though, and hope she can skate cleanly. I think she has a lot of spunk and is a very appealing skater. I'm interested to see how Yretha stacks up, she did well on the JPG circuit and has fairly interesting programs.

I wish all the best for Anais, she is such a beautiful skater. Even though she has only 3t and 3s.
But she won't medal of course.

Mae seems in her way to at least medal. But Marroco and Silethe have also their word to say, the first one being the last national champion and Silethe has made good debuts this year in the JGP circuit.
I wouldn't mind any of them winning since they are all good hopes for France and deserving girls.
As for Didier, she can medal, but...

Didier is injury-prone as well as inconsistent. There's no telling what she'll do this weekend. Win, bomb, medal; anything's possible with her.

Do they have any spots at all? G. Didier went this year and came in 45th.

Well, Gwendoline Didier finished in 45th at last year's Worlds. So, I guess France doesn't have more than 1 spot for 2011 Worlds ! ;)

Are all of the contenders for the ladies national title now age eligible for Worlds this year? I think either Marrocco and/or Miete missed the age limits last year.

They are all old enough, Meite and Silete turned 16 in the fall, and Marrocco turned 15 last January so before July 1.

I think people are underestimating Silete, she has jumps like Meite but her polish and packaging is better IMO.

    I think it will be

    1.) Silete
    2.) Meite
    3.) Marrocco

    The minimum TES are:
    15 points for the SP
    25 points for the LP

At 2010 Worlds. Didier would have needed about 47.5 to make it to the FS. She was well below that with 29.32.

    Now, results are official :

    1-Yretha Silete 142...pts
    2-Lenaelle Gilleron-Gorry 141.58 pts
    3-Mae Berenice Meite. 141.22 pts

It was really close, and Yretha is 4th in the LP, 1st overall. :)

Congratulation to Yretha Silete for her first national title :respec:
She is such an elegant skater!

It was really close between the 3 skaters! I am wondering who they are going to send to Worlds and/or Junior Worlds.

I knew Yretha could do it! Surprised to see Lenaelle in 2nd but she had a very good 1st outing on the JGP. So did Lena finish 4th?
