I realize this is ancient history, but didn't Dorothy Hamill do a long program to "Firebird"? I believe that was the first time I ever heard the music, and fell in love with it.

Jill Watson and Peter Oppegard skated an exhibition to it at the 1988 Olympics.

I voted for Rochette, Lysacek, and Nakano. I'd never seen the Orser one before though and I'll have to give it an honourable mention since it was so exuberant. Btw, I would probably say the worst is Miki Ando's.. very boring.

Joannie's by far. And it's my favourite program of hers. I wish she had stayed with Sebastien Britten longer.

    To be completely honest

    RACHAEL FLATT!

    US Nationals - http://youtu.be/OR2cXbneV-k
She doubled one jump but apart from that she skated it really well, I think she was 4th in the FS and 6th overall with it

    Skate Canada - http://youtu.be/apQXhxLt0CM
This is just a horrible skate and outfit, but I love it because of how bad it was!

OMG, how could I forget this performance. She really was very good, and I was so pleased for her (and loved seeing her so happy in the K&C).

Machida's Firebird was an amazing piece of choreography - did Lambiel choreograph it? I dont think he ever skated it clean, which was a shame. But as a program I thought it was stunning and captured the Firebird character better than any lady did. I hope he keeps it for next year.
