Has anything come of the Russians? pulled over at niagra falls?
No ambulances. Just one W'twn EMS vehicle, but that was in area before this went down.
Correction, multiple ambulances en route.
They're going in very, very soon
No movement in boat but some civilians in area they need to clear first before storming in. A family with children who live nearby.
I never saw any reputable source confirm that incident had happened. I found no verification.
dardar, waiting for confirmation from local ABC outlet. They've been most conservative and most accurate.
The Globe reports the person in the boat is not moving. Police are not approaching, as they suspect the boat/body may be boobytrapped.
This is where I'm getting info http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ma-rt-9-window-cam scanner feed
Movement in boat. He just sat up.
Globe is reporting they've taken the cover off the boat.
They're saying on police scanner that he is moving. He is sitting up
Yahoo News is reporting the person in the boat is alive.
Playing devil's advocate here: Are these two really those who set up the bombs at the finish line? Their family does not believe it. What kind of proof can be given?
Mistakes have been made in the past (e.g. Atlanta Olympics). What if these two are not the killers? (They did kill the MIT police officer however).
Confirmed. In boat. Alive. Completely surrounded.
Fire/flame on boat right now... gas tank is half full
Why doesn't he give up?! He has got to realize that the jig is up. Surrender is the only way out now.
Well, that's why I hope the guy is captured alive so that the truth can come out -- whatever the truth happens to be.
Clearly surrender is not the only way out, suicide is often an option.
They are being told not to return fire
Wcvb has reporters onside and they said that authorities removed the tarp and the person "is moving." That could Lso mean they're moving his body, though.
Video footage, pictures of them at the scene. (Granted, if they're blurry, one could argue it's a false ID.)
Details of what was found at their residence might also prove their involvement, although the authorities have not made those details public (wisely). Bomb materials can be very distinctive.
If they do catch this guy alive....a confession.
They're not seeking to convict at this point, only apprehend, so proof isn't exactly needed. But you're right, maybe it's just coincidental that a few bombs were set off on Monday, and last night on Thursday, two guys who just happen to have been at the scene car jack someone, tell them that they're the marathon bombers, and then leave a wake of explosives in their trail.
Lots of shots being fired in small bursts.
Assuming the guy who they carjacked is truthful, the brothers admitted they were the marathon bombers
And throw one of the bombs at the police as they escape, and happened to have had several IEDs in the house where they live, and... Yeah.
Police are saying they are sending flash-bang grenades into the area to light it up (night has fallen here), and are reporting no movement.
WBZ reports that the man was found using thermal imaging.
Now they are saying negative movement on boat again
Who has the best coverage? I hear network types trying to fill air without info.
If you want the police scanner it's http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ma-rt-9-window-cam
