Hey, that's an insult to his 'into the boards' jumping passes. I mean...

Right. Evan. I'm happy to see that Evan wants to come back. That said, I won't believe it until I see him start a short program on the ice.

^^^ Why not? Evan is a hard and consistent worker and he seems to have tamed the quad. I am all excited at the prospect of "Epic Battle of the Olympic Gold Medallists"! :cheer:

So you want to see another battle between one skater who can't do quads and another who is all about the quads and little else such as transitions choreography and spins? No thank you. I'll root for the skaters who have pushed the sport forward in the last couple years and not just in jumps.

I'm all for watching as many top-level and accomplished skaters give it their best shot. I hope they all skate clean and may the best man win. :)

Battle for what. The unofficial pewter medal at the Olympics (if they are lucky). The last 2 Olympic Gold medalists you refer to would have been thrashed in the Nice LP with their Vancouver efforts.

Not really fair to start comparing Vancouver with anything, since that's nearly 3 seasons ago. It's irrelevant.

If Evan (and Plushy) are serious about their comebacks, they're working on keep their skating relevant.

In all fairness, neither Chan or Takahashi's Vancouver performances would have faired as well at Nice either. Both skaters have improved since Vancouver and the scoring system is different. Only time will tell if Lysacek, Plushenko or Weir can come back and be competitive. However, I am interested to see each of these skaters make a comeback.

I agree re the hair. Evan's hair has looked better -- he seems a bit tired too, perhaps from the travel, etc.

Wow, tho' can that gold medal be any huger? Wonder what the gold medal designers have in store for Sochi?

Personally I don't believe in a million years that there is a romance going on between Evan and Vera. That said I have no problem wth an older woman younger man scenario as long as they are both over 18 they fall into the consenting adults category.

    Not true.

It's not an issue of the age difference or consent. Evan plays for the same team.

Just to be clear concerning the second part of my post. I was not talking about Evan (cuz I do not know him personally) my comments was about how I feel generally about older woman younger man scenario.

No way Evan would ever put his image at risk in such a way. More likely he's there to keep a very close eye on her to make sure she makes his costumes black enough. :D
