    Here they are:

    Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani

Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya

    Kirstie Alley and Maksim Cherkovskiy

    Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff

Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel

    Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas

    Romeo and Chelsie Hightower

    Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer

    Hines Ward and Kym Johnson

    Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke

    Petra Nemcova and Dimitry Chaplin

Poor Max, lucky Kendra and Petra, and once again Tony gets a lady over 40 while Mark gets the teenybopper.

    I look forward to them.
I only hope that Petra has sufficient "name recognition" and dances well enough to stay in the competition.
She's dealt with the challenges of the last several years with such grace that I would love for her to succeed here.

I think Petra Nemcova is a contemporary name -- unlike Paulina Porizkova or unknown like Josie Maran. I think people especially know her because of the tragic story of how she lost her boyfriend in the tsunami.

There are only 4-5 "stars" that I even recognize. :yikes:

Oh, since you said this I now know who Nemcova is, but I would never have remembered her name. Unless they bring up the tsunami every episode, I don't think people will get it.

I would be interested in seeing Ralph Macchio, Sugar Ray Keonard and Kirstie Alley, but there are too many no-names to make me wanna watch this season.

oh, I know they'll bring it up every episode  - I was just commenting that in this case, people will need the reminders (unlike the former Mrs Paul McCartney)

Maybe this is a chance for Anna Trebunskaya to win. Sugar Ray Leonard should be a good dancer. Just hoping :)

Me too. Sorry, Maks, but I can't abide Kirstie Alley. Maybe you'll get to leave early and get on back to filming the Ukrainian Bachelor.

This is DWTS. For sure, it will be detailed in the first show and probably mentioned liberally after that. "Oh, I broke my pelvis in the tsunami and cannot do that move." "This song reminds me of my dead fiance."

Kirstie has a pet name for Maks.

All her tweets refer to him as "Boo"

They take the best person and assign them to Derek, and then take the worst and stick them with Tony. The rest is based on height, personality etc.

    Pictures of the couples

Petra looks kind of stiff in her pose. Potential Uh-Oh for Dmitry.

Ralph Macchio is kinda hot, :D.

    Wendy Williams ... Um...

I think Chelsea Kane has some dancing ability judging from the picture; She and Mark will be among the frontrunners.

Catherwood looks cute, but his pose doesn't convince me that he can move. He reminds me of Mark Warner.

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out who Chelsea Kane is and I realize that she used to go by Staub. I know way too much about Disney channel people. Damn my love of Phineas & Ferb!

I must be living under a rock, since I don't know who most of these "celebrities" are.

Anna has another shot at a mirror ball. Sugar Ray was possibly the most famous "dancing" boxer in history except for Ali, incredible feet and balance.

Kirstie is gonna make Maks miss Brandy. She's a crazy diva.

I wouldn't be sad for my girl crush to hang around. She and Dmitry would make a very pretty finals. Oh, and their partners.

A commercial for the new season ran during Grey's Anatomy last night. Petra Nemcova was referred to as the "supermodel survivor." I'd say we'll be hearing about the tsunami.

Can someone who can rep, rep KikiSashaFan for that? All I can offer are virtual cookies.

Isn't Petra wearing a dress from Maks's last blonde (was that Erin?) And Anna's wearing one Karina had before.

And honestly, I NEVER know who 90% of these people are. At most, sometimes I know names. Given Petra, Ralph, Sugar Ray, and Kristie this might be the most I've known right off the bat.

The only ones in this group I haven't heard of before are Chelsea Kane, Chris Jericho, and Psycho Mike. I know a lot more than usual. Of course, the only reason I know Romeo is because he got replaced by Master P the first time he was supposed to be on the show. Sure hope he is better than his dad was.

Your list matches mine (including how I knew Romeo) with the exception that I'd heard of Chris Jericho and knew he was a wrestler, but I don't think I've ever seen him or knew what else he's done.
