I kept thinking someone else would start a thread, and finally started one - just when you did.

I asked the admins to delete the other thread - let's use this one.

The music! I thought Chelsea danced really well. Interesting where scores will start.

Hip/Hip - Chin/Chin. Makes me think of Lacey, one of my favorite dances from Lacey on SYTYCD

They have really ruined Hip Hip Chin Chin. That was very hesitant in some places, good, but hesitant. I swear, I could see her counting the steps.

It was cute, but it wasn't sexy. It's like if they keep saying "sexy" the audience will eventually believe it.

They gave Chelsea a dance that involved a lot of shaking and looking sexy - not really a stretch for her.

How the hell was that hot??? Mark was dancing at a completely different pace than she was, if it weren't for the fringe on her pants she'd look like she was barely moving :p

Yeah I've never found Chelsea and/or her dancing to be all that sexy. I think she looks awkward some of the time.

I read this article on the TVguide site that said Chelsie was the most technically proficient of the final three. Have they not seen Kirstie's feet? :drama:

I'm always  by the praise Chelsea and Hines get because I find their leg and footwork weaker than Kirstie.

Danny and Lacey were copying to start with. Max and Yulia did it first and best, and gee, in almost exactly the same costume as he put Chelsea in. (Yulia being the one we saw a few weeks ago with her new partner, Riccardo. She and Max won basically every showdance championship there is to win and she's considered pretty much the best female Latin dancer out there today.)

So that was freakin' pathetic. I'd have given them a five just for copying and making me watch a sad bronze routine while remembering M&Y's version.

Kirstie looks great! This show has allowed her to show a whole different (and very appealing) side of her personality.

Yikes, this is an awful version of Magalenha...not that I'm surprised, but it is bad.

To my eyes, Chelsea & Mark often have more difficult/intricate choreo (excluding tonight,) so maybe that's why some see her as more "technically proficient;" but unlike them, Kirstie & Maks tend to be pretty spot on with the execution. Kirstie & Maks definitely top them on my score card.

Took me a second to recognize Kirstie's music - Surya Bonaly did a program to this, at the 1999 World Pro's. I've always wanted to get the version that she used.

She definitely captured the essence of the dance better than Chelsea. Chelsea seemed really nervous. She tore it up the last time she wore fringe-pants. Tonight there was just no oomph there.

Well first thing that comes to mind comparing the two is Max and Kirstie looked like they were dancing together. Chelsea and Mark might as well be doing solos because he was not dancing with her, he was showcasing himself and she was trying to keep up.

Chelsea does a lot of flash, but Kirstie has better feet. Chelsea puts on a better SHOW, but Kirstie looks like she's actually learning technique. (Ironically enough, a flip of Bristol, who is evidence Mark CAN teach technique, versus Brandi/y/ie whatever the hell her name was, who did flash stuff with Maks but wasn't especially good TECHINCALLY.)

As if EITHER matters, the judges obviously have their brief on who is supposed to win and it'll be justified however they want....

I love Hines's mom sitting there so seriously.

Judges, please watch Hines' feet and legs during his Quickstep, and not just his smile. Thanks.
