    Starting thread.

Are they reviewing all of the contestants up until now?

Looks more like Major Drama Week, going by the opening.

Now that there's less couples, they have to add lots more filler fluff. Heaven forbid if they were to extend the dances an extra 30 seconds or so..

Maks should have given her a shot of rum first. A little Captain Morgan and she'd have loosened up a bit.

I just checked what the schedule was like for last season. Week 6 they each did one individual dance, plus a Swing Marathon. Week 7 they each did an individual dance, and a group dance. Week 8 each of the couples did 2 individual dances.

This is week 5 of this season's competition. So, I'm going to guess next week there will be a group dance. I bet Tom will mention something about it tonight if it's going to happen next week.

Next week is rock n roll week, so that would probably make for a good group dance.

Dear ABC....please stop. Pretty please. Next time you feel the pathetic need to pad, just have Tom Bergeron do standup for ten minutes. It would be so much better.

Actually, Carrie Ann, isn't the age difference between Corky and Florence more than the age difference between Jennifer and Derek?

I'm just waiting, one of these seasons, for one of the couples to totally bite it and tumble completely down the stairs during the introductions.

The theme song from Friends is the aural equivalent of Gretchen's clothes on Project Runway

Oh, pretty please, dance gods/patrons of live television broadcasts, pretty please?

I see Bristol actually got a decent dress while Anna apparently drew the short straw for the "WTF is she wearing?" slot tonight. (Or Florence.)

And Brandy/i/ee/ie is dancing to the theme from Friends? Did they have any characters who were even vaguely tan?

Why is Florence wearing her housecoat? Jerrick must have Bewitched or Leave it Beaver..some 50s or 60s theme.

((((Maks)))) what a song to choreograph a quick step for.

A fairly good quickstep from Brandy. I prefer a more traditional one, but some good footwork.

Not bad from Brandy, though she seems a bit stiff. I like her dress.

That was easily the most I've ever enjoyed Brandy on this show. And the speed of that dance was  And her dress is rather cute.

Ohhhh. One of my favorite shows is starting!!! Oh wait, no. It's just Brandy holding a lollipop. It's nice of them to start with some action, 35 minutes in...

I love that dress on Brandi and Maks's suit, but that dance was waaay too twee for me.

    I'm shocked, SHOCKED.

Funny how Florence does everything she can to distance herself from The Brady Bunch and then talks about how wonderful and special it was.

I always wanted to see a tango done to the Brady theme. (Which I'm ashamed to admit I know all the words.)

Once she actually did Quickstep, that was good!

This, on the other hand, is bad. She's under his feet and he's having to shove her (which may be Florence, or may be that I'm really increasingly convinced Corky just cannot do Standard/Smooth.)

Lots of twirling in Florence's Tango. Too much silliness.

Why, oh why, would they assign them a tango to that piece of music? I'm sure it would have been better done as some other dance style. And the tempo it was set at made it kind of hard to make it not appear frantic and such. :blah: to the band and music assigners.

Where did you get that? I've never got the feeling that Florence wanted to distance herself from TBB.

The Brady Bunch theme song gets boring really quick and therefore I stopped watching the dance before they were halfway through it.

I once went to a book signing of hers to get her cookbook as a joke for a friend, and she was happily signing the books with both Florence Henderson and Mrs. Brady. She couldn't have been nicer and was very happy to talk about the Brady Bunch to anyone who asked.
