For some reason I suddenly have "A Spoonful of Sugar" going around and around in my head . . .
Dreadful, terrible news...Briony McRoberts, wife of David Robb (Dr. Clarkson), apparently committed suicide! My heart goes out to him and his family.
Actress Briony McRoberts killed by Tube train
What a terrible way to die. If I were going to kill myself I would take pills.
I had a funny dream last night. I dreamed that Betty White was playing Cora's grandmother. When I woke up I thought, what a good idea!
***SPOILER*** Name of Matthew & Mary's son...highlight the quote box if you want to see the answer.
I finally finished the marathon, watching the three seasons over the last few weeks. I watched the UK version of seasons 1-2 on DVD, then the PBS version of season three up until the Highlands special, which didn't record, and I just retrieved the season 3 DVDs in Seattle this week.
I found Mary and Matthew unbearable, aside from when Matthew was whipping the estate into shape, and thought they deserved each other.
There are many attractive men of all ages in the series, but my favorite is the guy who plays Tom Branson; his accent reminds me of my ex-coworkers in Dublin that I still miss after nearly a decade.
U.S. Exclusive: "Downton Abbey" Season 4 Photos
Our friends at PBS and Masterpiece have given BuzzFeed an exclusive look at five images from Season 4 of the British period drama, which returns to Masterpiece on January 5, 2014. Baby Sybil!
Not one but two adorable little ones. W. C. Fields is rolling over in his grave right now.
I've never truly warmed to Mary; I sometimes feel sorry for her...often dislike her...although I do think her relationship with Matthew softened her. I always liked him. But now that he's gone, I fear truly bitchy Mary will return.
I adore Branson! Handsome, loving, a bit of a rebel...and that accent...aaaaahhhhh....
Season 4 will be adding some truly attractive new men...two as friends/potential suitors for Mary, one as a new valet, and one an African-American jazz singer.

THE NEW MEN OF 'DOWNTON ABBEY': GARY CARR, TOM CULLEN, AND JULIAN OVENDEN — PHOTOS
EDIT: The Towleroad article has a typo...this is the correct spelling...
Tom Cullen, 28, hits the Abbey as Lord Anthony Gillingham, a friend of the Crawleys.
Gorgeous! All upgrades over Matthew in my opinion.
Wow. Matthew who?
Tom Cullen looks very familiar, but I've never seen anything on his IMDB list.
Even though I though he character was a twerp, I love Dan Stevens' voice. I hope these guys are upgrades on the Matthew character.
And now for the cute kids...this article talks about the twins playing George Crawley and the toddler playing Sybbie Branson:
