I would like to apologize on behalf of my native country for inflicting Krispy Kreme donuts on a population that is generally healthy and long lived.

No apologies necessary because if I'm going to indulge in donuts, Krispy Kremes are my favorites.

    I wonder where Gracie was.

She did play soccer later on, so maybe she had to meet with sponsors?

Yayyyy that O.A.R. isn't a cheesy band like Disson usually has! I'm excited to see them live!

The Disson shows are so close together - it's going to be hard to have interesting and different choreography for each one. Do they always bunch them up like that?

It seems odd to me they didn't push the first two back a week or so. The GP Finals are Dec 11-14, so I guess Disson is planning to use only skaters who are retired/taking the GP season off. Those are the only skaters mentioned, but IMO current eligibles like Gold, Edmunds and Brown would draw more interest than skaters like Czisny and Bradley.

It seems kind of obvious now why skating shows don't draw like they once did, because producers no longer make any particular effort to get the best available talent. They have done pretty well with the ice dancers and men, but Kimmie Meissner & Alyssa Czisny are big drop from the days of Yamaguchi-Ito-Sato. It also seems really sad that pairs have disappeared altogether (though, honestly, I don't know who I would recommend here anyway).

The skaters should know what songs they will skate to so they will be able to some different things. I mean they are going to be super inventive but still strong and interesting.

And Yesterday Charlieand Meryl posted pictures of stuff <3

I wish they were better spaced too.

There are many reasons why pro skating has taken a dive in the US, but IMO, one of the reasons is because the top skaters appeared on show after show doing the same programs to the same music. It's hard to get the general public to tune into each skating show, if all the skating looks the same. I was hoping Charlie and Meryl would break this mold by coming up with many unique fresh programs throughout this upcoming season.

I read in The Ice thread that Charlie made the dance-off finals. Meryl didn't participate this time--maybe too much of a ringer. :p

    Gooooooo Charlie! :cheer:

It is wonderful to see them in any capacity, but I am so going to miss their competitive programmes. Selfishly, I really would like to see them and V/ M do at least one more year

The Disson shows are aiming to capitalize on their viewership of mostly skating fans during skating season. In past years, D/W did a few here and there and none in the Olympic season. I like the fact that it does give retired skaters a chance to be seen again, especially someone like A/P. There aren't too many opportunities for seeing greats from past years. I agree that they are scheduled too close to each other. But there could've been scheduling issues since many of the retired athletes also have other commitments.

To give credit where it's due the video is a Shibsibs production. I'll look forward to more fun videos from Maia and Alex that include Meryl and Charlie. The four of them have been good friends over the years. It's so enjoyable to see the friendship. Marina said Charlie is now also working as a special consultant and mentor to Maia and Alex as well.
