Yess, thank you both! I have to admit that one of the major reasons I was so excited to get into grad school in NY was because of Nationals in Boston. Priorities.

THIS! I think they're getting even better with each passing season. I hope they don't retire after the Games.

It really is! I got to see them at Skate America last year, but I missed my chances in Spokane twice because I was in Seattle at the time. Now I'm in Spokane and there's no skating to be found.

This! I think they have so much more artistic ability to tap into. D/W haven't even come close to fulfillment there. There's so much great music I'd like to see them explore, and choreographers I'd love to see them work with.

ETA: That was supposed to include a quote from another poster...oops lol.

And Boston now has 2016 Worlds! I don't expect it, but if D/W continued competing... :rollin:

Meryl definitely takes most of her features from her father. I still say her mom looks like she should be Charlie's mom

Meryl seems to have her mother's eyes on her father's face.

And I totally agree. I always think Cheryl should be Charlie's mom.

I admit I dont follow this thread so maybe you already posted this information.

This is what was posted by Doppio Axel, italian skating magazine:
    https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=559699394072746&id=152001281509228

Since they knew about Pechelat&Bourzat free dance music almost 2 months before others, I think this is worthy information.

It's very Meryl and Charlie, whether it's true or not. If they're smart about the music cuts (and they usually are, or at least adapt the choreography well) I would definitely enjoy it. It has an Olympic feel that would get the crowd going.

I'd want them to inject Ballets Russes into the costumes. (Not likely ever to happen.)

I think Sheherazade would be a great choice for D/W. Sure, it's overused, but it really suits them. It is so diverse and colorful that it can help them show their expressive style at its best, not to mention that exotic music and a bright, sumptuous costume would match Meryl's striking appearance perfectly :)

And don't forget that this music turned out to be a lucky choice for an American skater at the previous Olympics :)

The music definitely fits them. And perhaps would be a nice contrast to their SD.

Need moar pictures. I love how Derek looks like he's trying to position their bodies perfectly in this one position Little details like that add to a program.

Not so lucky for Michelle Kwan.

I hope they do something less used and less conventional overall.
For instance - The Kingdom of Heaven soundtrack would be amazing choice for them.

At least it isn't as overused as Carmen.

^^ Well, but you haven't seen D/W's Hough-choreographed interpretation, nor heard the music cuts. Nor even has the FD music yet been confirmed.

If this is indeed true, then I'm going to sit back and enjoy everyone talking about how Meryl and Charlie always use the same overused music, completely ignoring that two teams in the top 5 used Carmen last year.

Exactly! It wasn't Carmen, it was Carmen because he growled and she groped him so it was soooo different.

I think Meryl and Charlie could rock this music :respec:

Who knows if the rumor is true, but I think Scheherazade suits them to a tee.

Nice picture with Derek Hough. It's the first one I've seen this year of Charlie's off-season cut.

Charlie also tweeted a pic of him, Derek, and Corky Ballas having lunch yesterday. Is Corky helping them also?

Maybe Corky is working with the Shibs. IIRC he helped Maia and Alex with their Latin SD.

It didn't seem like he was. Derek's past tweet says he was surprised to see Corky who is probably working with the Shibs.
