Well, Tony has suffered for this show. A lot.

Ah, Kym is apparently playing everyone's least-favorite Indy girl, whining shrieking 'I'm dating the director' blonde bimbo Willie!

So the Paso is the marching around w/ attitude dance?

David Arquette is trying so hard.

Okay, HIGH STRINGS AND WOODWINDS, it's called "tuning." Try it sometime.

Chynna reminded me of a wind up doll that skipped a cog.

David's got the same frozen dancing going - he's hitting his marks, but nothing's connecting emotionally.

Memo to all pros and 'stars' - Kristen and Mark left because people didn't vote for them. Get over it.

I enjoyed that from David and Kym. His lines were off at parts, but he really had the right swagger.

I actually liked the music and the routine. David is a bit clunky. Bruno, lol.

Paso is the dance of the bullfight. It's all about attitude, and yes, lots of heel leads, marching steps, strong upper body shaping. Contrary to popular belief, the woman's not ALWAYS the cape--sometimes she's the shadow matador, or the bull. It's also wicked fast--top allowable tempo is actually faster than the top allowable tempo for Jive.

I love Movie Night on DWTS. It makes some of the musical choices for ballroom on SYTYCD seem downright reasonable.

David Arquette is not a natural dancer by any means, but I appreciate that he did the absolute best he could with what he's got. It was really enjoyable. :cheer: Kym telling him basically anyone can go home so just go out and enjoy was probably the best thing she could have said.

I know. Like she was some sort of favorite. She did well, but not great, had no fanbase.

The "stomp" is called an appell, and you're only supposed to do it certain steps (and not that loudly unless you're just swaggering, or need help remembering which count is 'one.')

And I'm sorry Tom, I love Indy, but no. He is not cooler than James Bond. In fact Lucas and Spielberg flat-out said they really really wanted Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr because they needed someone who had done everything Indy did only better and with more beautiful women, so James Bond was their only option. James Bond is always cool. (Except in a couple Roger Moore films and in "Die Another Day" but we won't talk about those.)

For me it is his creepy giggle - I am sure that it is a nervous laugh, but it reminds me of a creepy uncle who likes little girls.

Exactly. They certainly know by now this isn't really a dance show. It's an entertainment show and people vote for the dancers they like and want to see again - which may or may not have anything to do with how they dance.

I gather that in the dress rehearsal they don't use the special effects, e.g. the smoke. Chynna mentioned that as an issue that caused her to lose it...

I seem to recall that having been a problem for someone else in the past.

They shouldn't do too many pro dances on performance nights - it just makes everyone else look bad.

Sword fighting? Pirates of the Caribbean? Very reminiscent of the exhibition Drobiazko and Vanagas did in 2006... I just hope this routine isn't 20 minutes long, too. :scream:
