It's movie theme week with several Paso Dobles, Tango, Foxtrot, etc.

    Cher sighting?

I think Julianne Hough is tomorrow night.

So, how much will the 10 second shot of Cher be worth?

    Louis!

And Val without a shirt. :swoon:

The costumers must really not like Nancy Grace

Ricky Lake is adopting Derek's facial mannerisms and that's not a good thing.

 Love the opening hamming. Carson and Anna are having way too much fun.

If I sold my soul to the Devil, could I look like Kim? :shuffle:

ETA - oooh, a fire pit. I'm making smores! :p

The Great Escape does not make a good paso.

Also, just because you CAN do something with lightsabers, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

(And Mr. Wheeler, nail your woodwinds to the wall. Star Wars: The Musical Edition's teeny-tiny pit orchestra at MIT was more in tune than that riff.)

I can appreciate shirtless dancing, but that bit to the Great Escape is just odd and sort of wrong.

Who cares about the music? I was watching Val. I don't care what he was dancing to.

Dancing with the Stars??? The Tigers are playing the Rangers in the ALCS, and are in extra innings, and the Lions are on Monday Night Football. I will read this thread tomorrow. Snark well for me! :D

I'm not sure shirtless Val can make up for the epic fail that was the music during Star Wars. There was some whiny high-pitched instrument that really needed to be put out of its misery.

Chyna looks too frozen for Mission Impossible :(

I thought that was a bit ragged for Chynna, and not Tony's best choreography.

Eh. Russians don't do it for me.

And neither did that routine. Chynna looked like she completely froze.

Carri Ann has it right--it's just a dance competition that's suppose to be fun

Brooke said she had a similar experience blanking out. I don't remember it.

It's Brooke. I'm sure blanking out is a comfortable sensation for her.

At least Chynna didn't pull a "I'm not like other people". I think I'll throw her some votes just because.

21 seems kind of high. I wonder how high the better dances will go.

Ah, Kym is apparently playing everyone's least-favorite Indy girl, whining shrieking 'I'm dating the director' blonde bimbo Willie!

So the Paso is the marching around w/ attitude dance?

David Arquette is trying so hard.

Chynna reminded me of a wind up doll that skipped a cog.

David's got the same frozen dancing going - he's hitting his marks, but nothing's connecting emotionally.

Memo to all pros and 'stars' - Kristen and Mark left because people didn't vote for them. Get over it.

I enjoyed that from David and Kym. His lines were off at parts, but he really had the right swagger.

I actually liked the music and the routine. David is a bit clunky. Bruno, lol.

Paso is the dance of the bullfight. It's all about attitude, and yes, lots of heel leads, marching steps, strong upper body shaping. Contrary to popular belief, the woman's not ALWAYS the cape--sometimes she's the shadow matador, or the bull. It's also wicked fast--top allowable tempo is actually faster than the top allowable tempo for Jive.
