    That was a great read, thanks for posting.

    I've found myself avoiding AOL owned properties because of the lack of editorial skill. The only thing AOL properties are interested in are clicks to sell ads, and that's it. The most glaring example of this is Huffington Post which uses such extreme and sensationalist headlines that have nothing to do with the content behind them.

    One of the leading tech blogs that I used to read, Engadget, recently lost their main editor. The rumors were that AOL demanded higher traffic and click-thrus regardless of content. They didn't care about the content. The editor went on to found his own tech blog.

    It's sad that the information age is under-valuing information.

    Not just the editor in chief - it seemed like *all* the editors/writers I followed were quitting earlier this year. I wondered what the heck was going on but it finally made sense when the new blog was announced. It's pretty much the old Engadget team.
