Classic Joubert. TAT is the best part! if I had a coat like that, I'd wear it all day, everyday!
Speaking of spinning right through dramatic changes in music...
Sorry, Fumie. Even a lap dance won't get you back on the podium
this thread is epic. I think it could go on for a while....so many wtf moments.
A rather reserved freeskate from Kira Ivanova up until this one moment:
I remember watching Olga Markova with my family in the room and everyone made some sort of tacky comment when she did her besti squats.
Drunk Kevin Van Der Perren.
The ass slap of Elena Sokolova. followed by a nasty fall.
at Kira Ivanova's random head shake!
Ivanova's head shaking is PRICELESS!
This wasn't choreographed (at least I hope it wasn't) but definitely a WTF moment for Holly Cook:
There's no bad time to stir a cup of tea. Then eat the tea bag.
Oh No, My Baby
I shape-shift mid program. To a monkey.
Caressing the voluptuous invisible woman
Italians just wanna have fun
Mao's got Nothing on me!
Best choreographed fall EVA!
Mr-Fan - if you are going to do the baby move you have to do it right with sound effects
Including passing it from one partner to another.
That wasn't a fall! It was a knee-illusion turn transition out of that 3F, very difficult to execute...I'd have given her +2!
Would it be terribly mean to do a thread dedicated to funny/hilarious falls and mistakes in figure skating?
The best possible type of WTF from two of its masters, Mysliveckova and Novak:
I love this home vid someone took of M&N's FD because you can hear the people cracking up in the audience.
The many hairstyles of Alena Leonova deserves its own thread!
Zuzana Babiakova's Soviet Waitress is one of the 'greatest' moments in skating.
That whole program is a hilarious hot mess.
A person more clever than I needs to come up with a name for whatever is happening in the first ten seconds of this.
The rest of the program is hilariously trashy as well.
I can't get her head off. It's stuck!!!
Oh my goodness this is epic!!
Not just her hair style. Her own perkiness alone deserves one! Seriously, with all the criticisms of her skating, she IS unique.
Loved everything about that performance! Still do! ITA, re: TAT!
Watch the first minute of Rasputin, preferably without music:
I was going to try and pick a particular moment, but honestly, every second of this OD made me say WTF.
Yes that was a 2:30 min of WTF.
I always love about 98% of Kristi Yamaguchi's performances The rest of the 2% is such a huge WTF moment for me that it ruins the rest of the performance. Her arm movements in this bother me most of the way through.
I do love her Bridge Over Troubled Waters. I think that was the first one I truly enjoyed all the way through.
I took your advice and it was worth it. My eyes are watering from laughter.
One more...no "Four Seasons" program will ever hold a candle to this performance without Surya Bonaly's mind-blowing choreography in this section:
yeah i would say surya bonaly four seasons program
All the toe pushing, she's practically walking on the ice....
What else? You wouldn't expect her to hold an edge did you?
There aren't enought "WTF"s in the world to describe what i'm thinking when I watch this dance.
I still can't believe this dance was performed in Vancouver where there was so much effort made by organizers to have positive representations of aboriginal art and civilization, only to have australian aboriginal dance spoofed by Linichuck.
