During the ladies FS at worlds, Camerlengo was interviewed by italian tv and said the one athlete he would love to coregraph for is Asada.
He even said it's a dream of his.

Rumors were last year that Asada, having dropped TT as a coach, would have maybe changed coreographer. Since Camerlengo was already working with Takahashi, some thought Asada would have gone to him too. But no. And now he hopes this will happen sometime in the future.

Writing this to let Asada know, in case she doesn't.

-- Oh, Camerlengo also said that, of all his students, Takahashi is probably the best to work with: "Whatever the coregrapher pictures in his head, Daisuke does".

Oh Mao! Take him up on his offer. Can you imagine what a Camerlengo program would look like on her? :swoon:

Camerlengo was reluctant to say, since apparently it's not offcial yet.

    But.

Pechalat/Bourzat have been pressured to leave Russia (Russia is shutting out all direct competitotors of their athlets, in preparation for Sochi). And it looks like they will relocate in Detroit and work with Camerlengo.

In case anyone didn't know and wants to know.

Great for Asada to join Camerlengo's team, but first and foremost she needs to rework her jumps. Maybe she needs to take next season off? Or at least the GPs?

I hope this will come true.
Camerlengo and Lori Nicol would be perfect for her.

    Mao, do you hear that?!

He must have fallen in love with her dancing to Liebestraum. And perhaps Caprice, Scent of a woman and Lavender.

Mao Asada SP - Kenji Miyamoto
Mao Asada FS - Pasquale Camerlengo

    Wouldn't that be a void?

I'd be so happy if she worked with Pascale, he's one of the most interesting choreographers in skating.

Anything but generic Lori Nichol GFB snoozefests, PLEASE!

    No to Lori! :mitchell:

I would certainly jump on Camerlengo/Asada bandwagon. I love and respect TAT for her many achievements, but Asada needs to branch out. One program from Camerlengo, one from Yuka Sato/or Kenji Miyamoto???

Stick a fork in Tarasova, I can't remember any memorable programs of hers since Yagudin.

I agree about competition programs but I forgive her everything for Chopin's Ballade she created.

TAT's Ballade is glorious, as is Mao/TAT's Exhibition Tango with fan. Really great. Leonova's folk SP from last year was decent, as was Voronov's Scriabin. On the other hand, TAT had many misses lately, as well. I wish Mao would branch out, out of both TAT and Lori (though I think Lori's Liebestraum is beautiful)

Sasha had tons of personality yet her choreography never took advantage of that, it was never brought out on the ice properly. She had boring programs, full of crossovers. :blah:

I agree with Dinakt on Leonova's SP from last season, I forgot about that. That was very decent. :)
But it's one hit next to numerous misses.

    It's "Pasquale".
I know: sounds like revenge for all the "h" in the world italians have to cope with.
