Go Craig Buntin!!!!
It is wonderful to know that this special skater has goals outside of skating and is on his way to an advanced degree.
I always loved to watch him skate. I'm looking forward to hearing about his future endeavors.
First saw Craig skate back in 2000 at Calgary nationals in jr pairs and remember thinking "wow, what a great skater that I've never heard of before".
Glad he got to have such a good career. Best of luck to Craig!
I will miss him. Quite the trouper.
Cheers to Craig! Dedicated athlete, smarty-pants, AND those gorgeous eyes! Best of luck to him @ McGill.
THIS is a perfect description of Mr. Buntin.
Could they not have found a picture of them skating?????
I wish him every success!
I agree. Such a sweetie!
Good Luck Craig! And thanks.
Craig is also recently engaged, so congrats to him!
Another of my faves has retired. Craig has had a great career, not quite achieving the highest rewards we wished for him. A very brave skater, who has persisted in spite of many disappointments and injuries. A real team leader.
Best of luck to Craig at McGill. I know he will be successful at whatever he does.
There's a video from Craig at http://skatebuzz.ca/
He also has two other attributes that I admire, but they are a bit lower.
Really, engaged? To whom? Is it another skater?
What an amazing video! Makes me proud to say I've known him.
Very cute, thanks.
All that and a little product placement too!
I can't say I'm surprised to hear this. I love Craig and he gave wonderful things to the sport of figure skating! I wish him all the best in his future at McGill. And I wish Meghan the best of luck with Eric, I can't wait to see them skate together!
How do you get into an MBA program at McGill without having done a university degree first?
I liked Craig with his skating partners (Valerie Marcoux and Meagan Duhamel). I wish him the best in his educational pursuits.. I also had no idea that he recently got engaged. How nice!
Would they have made an exception for work experience? I heard that he runs his own business (coffee shops).
I've not heard of that.
Craig has a coffee business. Here's the website:
I'd like to try some of that coffee...
Could he be going for an executive MBA? If I remember correctly, those programs are a bit different and are designed for people who have been in business for years (not sure that applies to Buntin, but whatever) and may not have an undergrad degree.
How do we know this? I don't remember seeing it announced in the news about him retiring, or in the video.
he posted it on his facebook page
Thanks for his skating and good luck
That was always nice to see he and his partners skate. and personnally, thanks for a nice interview once at TEB
Wishing him well.
