I read a post where someone said that he's sure it'll taste creamy ... and a little bit salty
I always have to read the comments on stories like these.
Would you like chopped nuts on that?
Once you've had a serving, you may have to wait awhile before you can have a second one.
No cherries were harmed in the manufacture of that product.
Is it soft-serve or hard?
The "Schweddy Balls" SNL skit is linked on this article if interested. Hilarious.
Best. Skit. Ever.
Funny but would have been much more relevant/.n the late 90s. Seems somewhat random now?
I've never eaten Ben & Jerry's, but I so want this.
Funny! Always cracked up at that skit. A classic.
Mmm, is this in stores already?
I love Ben and Jerry's! I just don't love their price.
They have a flavor out (I assume it is still out) called Late Night Snack. It is AMAZING. It is chocolate covered potato chip balls (yes, you read that right!) in vanilla bean ice cream with caramel swirls. A salty sweet bite of heaven!
….Classic - both the flavor idea and the SNL skit that inspired it.
I haven't had any Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream ever since they quit making my favorite flavor of theirs, Wavy Gravy, which led to all kinds of on my part -- and apparently a lot of other people (there's a Facebook page called "Bring Back Wavy Gravy ), but I'll definitely try this flavor out since that SNL skit was one of my favorites.
My new favorite flavor of Ben & Jerry's is Clusterfluff. Stupidly expensive but oh so tasty....
Is there a sugar-free version of Schweddy Balls?
I'm imagining you asking a sales clerk at Safeway this question with a straight face and it's totally cracking me up.
That sounds like an SNL or Monty Python skit, right there!
"Could I have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam?"
Forget Schweddy Balls, their Red Velvet ice cream is to die for......
This is based on an Alec Baldwin routine? They should have called it Bloviator.
Yes, an Alec Baldwin Xmas sketch where he played a character named Pete Schweddy. And brought in a plate of his Schweddy balls. Say it out loud ... there, now you've got it!
Don't remind me of the loss of Wavy Gravy!
SNL Skit with Alec Baldwin, Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer
They look large. A good mouthfull, to be sure.
"The new flavor is available at scoop shops and supermarkets. It consists of vanilla ice cream, rum, fudge-covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls"
That actually sounds delish! I will buy a pint if I see it at Kroger's today.
I'm sure people will go nuts over it...
That's still just as funny as it was then, if not more. I love Ana Gasteyer. She's totally underrated.
I wonder if "Ben and Jerry's" ever made South Parks "Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls" ice cream. Maybe it's next.
