Aw, that's too bad.
Was she injured?
I always liked her attitude and style, and wish her best on whatever she does in the future.
Bye bye, Bebe. I'll miss you.
I always liked to watch Bebe skate, but I think this makes sense. She's been a senior for a LONG time.
Bebe, you have so many different talents and have worked so hard, now it's time to enjoy life - go for it!
I loved watching Bebe skate and I hope she is happy in whatever she chooses to do. Is there any information on what is next for her?
I'll miss Bebe; her SP to the music from "Harry Potter" was just amazing.
She had some extremely programs. I will miss her skating, but I hope she has a great time in whatever she chooses to do.
I'm really sad that she never reached her potential.
BTW, when was she with Christy Ness and why did they split up? To me, that was a good match.
Some of the things mentioned in that article are just amazing! 12 consecutive appearances at the U.S. Championships with 10 of them being on the senior level... Maybe she never finished in the top three but to be there that often is amazing IMO. Good for Bebe! Glad she knew it was time to stop. Good luck to her! She'll be great at whatever she tries.
She was coached by Tiffany Chin (1999-2004) and Christy Ness (2004-05) before joining Ken and Frank. Last year, or maybe the year prior, she switched to just being coached by Frank.
I imagine if Bebe works as hard at the rest of her life as she has up to now, she'll be a wild success.
Thanks for skating Bebe. You made some magical moments out there on the ice.
OK, so I assumed she just moved on. There were no 'issues' between her and Christy Ness
Bebe was a real highlight when I went to my first Nationals in 2005. I've always loved her style, fire, and personality on ice. Best wishes to her in her post-skating life
Sad that she never realized her potential. I'll always remember her two amazing skates at the 2005 US Nationals. The Harry Potter SP was amazing, and the Piazzolla LP is one of my favourite ladies LPs of all time.
I always really enjoyed Bebe. I also liked skating with her, she's a really nice girl.
I wish her all the best in school!
Is she going to school?
Ditto. I loved that program.
Good luck to Bebe in college!
She goes to Cal State Northridge. I hope she can graduate on time... I have lots of friends who have been there forever and can't get their classes.
What does she study?
She's been my favorite since 2002. It was definitely time to move on but I am still really sad that she never fulfilled her potential. She did a triple lutz-triple loop combo back in 2003 and had so much speed and fire. I loved her 2006 SP and her performance at nationals that year was probably one of my favorite Bebe moments. Too bad she fell apart in the long
Best of luck to her in the future and thank you for the memories and beautiful programs!
I saw this coming; but, I'm still sad.
Your love for skating was apparent, and a pleasure.
Awww....I'll miss her.
Not surprising, but I'm still sad. She's so musical and always had interesting programs, solid spins, and nice spring to her jumps when they weren't awol.
ITA. She should have gone to Worlds that year! Best of luck to her.
I really love her skating and I'll miss watching her. I hope she enjoys the next phase of her life.
Awwww, my li'l tomboy. I loved her skating, even when she fell.
Aww, I'll miss seeing Bebe at US Nationals. I wish her all the best and I hope she knows how many fans she has out there cheering for her.
I've always had a soft spot for Bebe and her interesting choreography/music! It will be kind of strange to watch Nationals not see her.
I will miss Bebe too, I also always had a soft spot in my heart for her and enjoyed her skating. Much happiness to you, Bebe, may you shine in life as you did in skating!
Good luck with anything you do Bebe! We'll miss all the work you've done for the years!
Aw, too bad! nice watching your skating over the years. Good luck in your life!
I'll miss Bebe... I like her energy when she skates. I liked The Sorcerer's Apprentice program and still think that in 2008 Worlds was robbed. I wish her success for the rest of her life.
I will definitely miss her.
I remember the first time seeing her on TV,
which was her first senior Natinals, I think.
At that time, I was not so impressed
as she looked like a ridiculously tiny little thing on ice
though she already had all difficult jumps.
However, eventually she had grown into a beautiful skater
and did some amazing programs.
I remember her fluff piece from about 5 years ago for NHK,
in which she appeared to be a very sweet, thoughtful and graceful young lady.
It is always hard to see skaters like her to go.
But I wish all the happiness for her.
Thank you and a good luck, BeBe!
She will certainly be missed!
Good luck, Bebe! You will be missed. We will look forward to the next phase of your life. And wish you all the best.
Aw, I liked her. The short program with the Harry Potter music was one of my favorites. She may never have reached the top, but she was still nice to watch. Congratulations to her on a good skating career.
Bebe's "Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "Harry Potter" programs were two of my favorite sps of the decade . Thanks, Beatrisa!
Aw, my friend and I really like her! We're always rootin' for her no matter what.
Also - she's a Sunday school teacher?!
Maybe we'll get to hear her music playing for someone else's skate in the future.
I'm sad to hear this as I've always loved her attack, flair, and carriage on the ice. At least she went out with a very solid showing at Nationals.
Thanks for all the memories, Bebe!
