well, actually figure skating isn't popular in China at all,so more or less celebrities not importand :scream:

to be honest, the most famous one and will attract people to buy tickets in this cast is pianist Lang Lang... :p

I'm not sure whether this show will succeed or not with a weak line-up.

Certainly, Lang Lang is not a weak line-up (although I don't know how popular he is in China, he mostly performs abroad). I would buy ticket just for him.

Shen Zhao have their own show so there can be some contract conflicts.
The pairs cast is pretty awsome and pairs is probably the best known discipline in China anyway.

I would love to see Lu Chen but I don't think she skates in shows anymore.

Art on Ice is different kind of show, not mainly figure skating show but with the big stress on the musicians that include both pop and classical performers, and also acrobats. I don't think that adding some top single skaters would make a big difference for the audience that is not particularly familiar with skating, it is more the question of good marketing, sponsors and having some Chinese names involved.

There are many skating shows in China this summer, I hope they suceed, it's such a great potential market for skating.

Well, DelSchoes, S/S, V/T, and Eman are enough to convince me. :shuffle:

luCN, will you please let us know when the tickets go on sale in China? I'm thinking about asking my friend in China to book mine. Thanks in advance!

Just a note about making the call. If you call from outside of China, you don't have to dial the '0' of '021', the '0' is needed only if you call from anywhere within China, but in that case, you don't have to dial '86' which represents China. In short, it's either

    86-21-51509199 or
    021-51509199

Michelle Kwan would be a nice addition because of her accomplishments and her heritage.

I wouldn't expect skaters like Czisny to be too expensive and she can definitely draw in the crowd.

I think Buttle much fit much better - since when is Sandhu skating again? And they really could add someone like Verner, Amodio or Fernandez.

Glad to hear that they have a five year plan :encore::encore::encore:

and the CCTV live broadcast,if it is true, will be fabulous!CCTV is the biggest TV station in China,if AOI is promoted by them, they will have a much larger and wider audience than Shanghai TV.

now you can choose seat and buy tickets on line.
but seems only for Chinese version:
    http://www.damai.cn/ticket_26233.html

if you buy them abroad, you can consult the seats layout above and ask them choose best seats for you

there are still many pretty good seats there~

well,on the ticket selling site,it appears it's nearly sold out.BUT,I think it's because they give out tickets to some sponsers...

ice show market is nearly none in china now.I think AOI should learn something from Artristy on Ice——don't depand on the ticket selling (they give out maybe half of their tikets to Amway last year...many shows here did the same things too  ) but from the sponsers,Artristry on Ice get a lot of money from Amway,so they can improve more this year and have a good overall income :hat1:

broadcast on CCTV5(which is the biggest sports TV channel in China) is such a wonderful start. They can attract many companies to invest on the show or have ads on it.hope the organizer of AOI can understand that.

plus, there are nealy no promotion for Art on Ice Shanghai....especially compare to Artristy on Ice shows....

anyway, they are successful businessmen,I think they can know these better than me :kickass:
