If so, what is your poison? I had a bottle of saki a couple years old in the fridge so here is a cup of that....here's to the end of another election season. :nopryde:

I mixed a vodka tonic after dinner but I've barely touched it. Tomorrow may be a different story, however. ;)

Coconut favored rum + cranberry juice. Mostly due to work anxiety, not the election ;)

Yes, we had a left over bottle of champagne that has been a fizzy treat along with some cheesecake. We are happy tonight.

Screw the V/T. And the fact that it's a work night. Time to get out the Aperol, pop the cork on the Prosecco, and mix up a lovely Spritz.

I figure, I'll be drinking tomorrow one way or another; either celebratory or in misery (am at work tonight, or it would be flowing already).

Oooh, that sounds yummy! I haven't tried that particular combo. I have a large bottle of coconut rum liqueur I brought back from Jamaica, I'm sure that would work just as well.

I'd considered whipping up a cocktail. But then remembered that I had some red wine opened. Out here on the left coast, I'd hardly gotten home and fixed dinner, when the race was pretty much declared. So, not so much drinking for me. That'll be tonight, at my standing Wednesday night at Zig Zag (my watering hole of choice). I think I will celebrate with a Liberal:

1 1/2 oz rye or Bourbon
    1/2 oz sweet vermouth
    1/4 oz Amer Picon
    1 dash orange bitters

Can someone please describe the type of "feel good" feeling you feel while drinking? I've tried drinking in the past, but all I got were big headaches.

I don't normally drink. So even one glass of something effects me. I guess I feel tension lift, I become giggly and silly. I never have more than 2 glasses of anything and almost always if I drink I just have one. And I slept the entire night (I've been waking too early with the time change).
