I wish them well. They've been together 7 yrs already.
Oh! I always thought of them as "already married".
Good for them, and their argument that marriage is beginning to mean something to the kids as they grow older makes sense to me, because I was surprised by this. They've always said they didn't plan on getting married until everyone was able to get married. I've always liked both of them.
Good luck to them all.
I thought they were married, too, only because I know a Filipino family who named their daughter Angelinajoliepitt.
that beats the girl who does my nails who named her baby jolie angelina
I wonder if they will follow the herd and break up within five years now.
I think a lot of it is because so many people have predicted their break up over and over and over and over and over and over again, and so many people desperately want them to break up, but I really hope not.
I think the name Jolie is kinda cute!
A friend of mine dated a woman named Jolie.
At any rate, I don't think marriage will change much about their relationship. If that's what they want to do, more power to them.
Just when you want this announced...on friday the 13th..
Well Jolie is actually her middle name (her last name is Voight) so I guess her parents thought so too. It is super cute.
I'm actually really happy to hear this news. Despite all the tabloid craziness, they seem to be one of the more stable Hollywood couples, and despite the speculation over how they started, I like how they went about their relationship - doing things on their own terms, and putting their kids first.
It's great for them at all, but did CNN really have to report this in an alarming yellow box as "breaking news" earlier today?
Angelina filed to remove 'Voight' from her name in 2002 during her long-standing feud with her father. Her last name is legally Jolie now.
If you believe the tabloids, she and her father have reconciled. I don't really give a flip about either one of them. I just hope that their children are of the type who will blossom and grow under the type of life they lead, charging from country to country. I know I personally would have loved it as a child. But with 7 kids (?) it is inevitable that one or some will have needed a secure and unchanging environment. Life's a crapshoot.
They have reconciled, but her last name is still officially Jolie now.
6 children - Shiloh, the twins, Maddox, Zahara, and Pax. Both she and Brad give the impression - though I know that can be misleading - that they are very loving parents. I hope that's true.
What, they weren't getting enough People Magazine covers?
Jon Voight has talked about their reconciliation in interviews.
Happiness to the couple; and their family.
I was thinking more like five months. Now that they've announced the engagement so many people have been ridiculously waiting for, a break up cannot be far behind.
Please tell me she has a nickname.
A friend of mine works very closely with brad Pitt. While my friend can be a whining brat, he has always spoken highly of Pitt, jolie. And the children. So while I cannot understand or relate to everything they do, I am inclined to believe my friend's interpretation.
I've seen fuzzy pictures of the ring--looks huge but can't make out the details.
However, what's obvious is that Angelina's hand looks so much older than her years for some reason.
At first I thought it was because she is flexing the wrist but I tried flexing mine and didn't get the same effect.
Yes, some of the more frequent vitriolic comments leveled at Angelina are about her hands. They're fairly large for a female's and they've looked old like that for a while. I'm not sure why that is, and I've wondered when I've seen those comments (not yours - really mean ones all over the net, the usual crap) if there's some particular reason why they look that way.
I didn't think they are large, just old-looking. Her fingers are slender and long which is pretty but the back of the hand doesn't seem to belong to her.
Re: her hands. It is probably her thinness - nothing to fill out the skin and hide the veins. Fortunately, she has strong enough facial bones that her age won't impact the face for a good long while.
Or, maybe it turns out she washes all of her own dishes. that will play havoc on your hands.
That would be my guess too.
Her face is likely filled with cosmetic fillers. However, I've heard that same fillers can be and are used on hands as well.
It's the large veins. My hands are like that too (sigh).
Yeah, it runs in my whole family. Even as a kid, I had hands like that. Whenever I need to get blood drawn, the nurses ooh and aah over my veins . They get so excited, thinking I'll be the easiest patient of the day, and then I have to break the news that I faint easily and need to lie down.
I have very small veins, but sometimes my hands look very veiny because the blood pools in my hands (being that arms are long...) and I have very low blood pressure. I almost always hold my hands in my pockets to get them higher and closer to my heart. They're always cold too.
My dad has always had very veiny hands as well. He doesn't necessarily show his age besides his hair (which grayed early) and his hands. I'm hoping to have inherited my mom's hands, which aren't as bad.
Where's Palmolive Madge when you need her?
....As for the engagement, -- Back in the late 90s (after starring in Hackers, Gia, and Girl, Interrupted), I was an Angelina Jolie fan. Thanks to the incessant, OTT media coverage the past few years if either of those two so much as squeak out a mouse fart (along with the constant overuse/abuse of the moniker "Brangelina" ), the happy couple has become a Remote Button All-Star in our house.
As for Brad Pitt, I'm part of that extreme minority that, going all the way back to when he had a cameo in Thelma & Louise, has never found him to be attractive. A lot of women claim that Brad Pitt fills them with desire; whenever he pops up on TV or print, the only desire I have is for someone to attack him with these items
my mother always had gross veiny hands like she was 50 lbs underweight and washed dishes for a living but had a very round unlined face and never wrinkled.
my hands are nicer but sometimes i catch a glimpse and wonder why my hand is so blue then realize it is my veins. after reading the thread, i think i have anita18 hands.
Meh, they're not married yet. Just because they're engaged, doesn't mean they are ready to get married. Maybe they'll never get married, or will have a long engagement.
I do find Brad Pitt attractive and also think he is a better actor than he is given credit for but I've heard that he has personal hygiene issues.
Well I don't see why they want to mess with what seems like an already good thing but if it makes them and their children happy then more power to them. Best of luck to them and I hope they stay together.
As for the hands-that's just genetics I am sure.
Wasn't that rumor about 20 years ago?
Doubt if it is true now.
Let's give him the benefit of the doubt
I think the marriage will last. Nothing will really change and they seem like a very stable couple who love their children very much. They seem like the type of couple who would stay together for the children even if they fall out of love. And keep it civil.
I find that I find attractive people with high cheekbones, be it man or woman. It's like, face-wise, if they have that they are sexy even if their features are disharmonious seen separately. Scarlett is another one.
The ring is fab though!
My hands have always looked veiny. I am thin now, but, even when I was overweight my hands were like that. I (like Louis) am adored by anyone who has to take blood or put in an IV. I've, also, never been very good about putting moisturizer on my hands (can't stand the greasy feel). But, now that I'm 59, my body has caught up with my hands!
As for Pitt and hygiene issues, I've heard that about other actors, as well. Heard that Matthew McConaughey is the worst!
Yes, the rumor is old. Who knows? May be Angelina cleaned him up a bit.
IV nurses/phlebotomists don't love me (they frown at the site of my arms) so it sounds like it's an anatomical thing.
