I remember reading a thread a while ago which reported these two were to team up. Anais is entered for Austria JGP Ladies event, as they aren't eligible to compete as a pair this season, I guess it makes sense for Anais to compete in singles, but:
-Are they still skating pairs together?
-And does this mean they will be representing Switzerland when/if they do compete?

Apologies if I've missed a previous thread about this.

I thought Glebov teamed up with Daria Popova (GER)?

Anais is doing test in Switzerland in order to be able to compete at the senior level. She had to present her programmes about 10 days. Switzerland still had two JGP spots and she got one of them. At the moment, she wouldn't be allowed to skate in any senior competitions though. She'll have to pass the tests first.

Regarding the pairing with Glebov: apparently she's not sure whether she wants to do pairs or singles. I guess she needs some more time. What I have heard is that the feckin Swiss Federation apparently said that they won't ever release Anais. To skate for Switzerland is not really an option either cause Ilia won't get citizenship till Sochi.

What the hell? When did she split up with her partner? They showed massive promise, and she is OBVIOUSLY a Pair skater....why would she skate singles?

What triples does she have? :drama: I though Steuer was going to turn them out and get them on the podium come 2014! :(

Dorsaz retired due to lack of motivation.

Haha, where have you been? Antoine was not motivated enough and we all know that Anais was the star on the team.

She had the tests ten days ago and didn't pass past silver. I think the jumps are not too bad (compared to the other Swiss skaters) but the spins are not good. She's not used to single spins. Also, from what I've heard (one of the judges who was present at the tests) the way she presents her programmes, it's obvious that she is used to having a partner and not to having to present herself and only herself to the audience.

I bet you also missed Sarah's nude pictures :p

Daria Popova has teamed up with 19 year old Swiss skater Timothy Leemann. Why Anais didn't team up with him I have no idea as that would solve all the citizenship problems, he's a good skater, right age, right size, right country, same coach and location. They are listed on the Chemnitz page here http://www.eislaufclub-chemnitz.de/paarlauf.php

I wonder if Daria and Tim will skate for SUI or GER? Has Glebov found another partner?

Illia paired with Daria then split to pair with Anais then Daria paired with Tim. So you'd think with all that switching they'd have to be at least a reasonably close level.

Anais seems made for pairs, would be such a shame for her to be without a good partner. Is there no way Anais/Ilia could skate for Switzerland?

To gain Swiss citizenship you must be living in Switzerland for 12 years.
So it seems impossible, if they want to skate at the Olys in Sochi. :(

I haven't seen him in a while, that's true. But I know Anais and I know how fantastic she is and I know how much experience she has as a pair skater ;)

Anyway, a few months under Steuer would surely do wonders :)

I love that idea! Too bad it will never happen. Oh well, guess I'll have to give Mary Beth the benefit of the doubt for now.

    Babelfish translation-

Despite the resignation from Antoine Dorsaz Switzerland also further at international matches with a Swiss pair of ice art runs will be represented. Anaïs Morand forms with Tim Leemann a new duo.

Anaïs Morand (17) will start after the resignation of its partner Antoine Dorsaz in the future with the past single runner Tim Leemann (19). With sample training it “transmitted” After the unexpected resignation from Dorsaz in June Morand tried first with Estonians the Ilja Glebow. The project was however not further pursued. In the past week the Walliserin denied a sample training with the inhabitant of zurich Leemann, on which the two could agree fast on a co-operation. Thus Morand only a junior GP is planned as Einzelläuferin to deny and not like the whole season. New Chefcoach is the old Chefcoach of the new pair is Ingo tax, which the German Olympia third Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy led to two WM and three EM-titles. The pair run world champion of 1997 had already cared for Morand/Dorsaz in Chemnitz. Morand/Leemann will train however under the week in the zürcherischen Küsnacht. Here the former East German Paarläuferin Birgit Brandt will lead the trainings in co-operation with Richard Leroy and Cornelia servant.

So maybe now Popova and Glebov will team up? :p
