Who'd you like tonight?
I voted for Lauren by accident
What's the theme tonight?
It was Now and Then.
They did one current song and one oldie. Not sure the definitions of "current" and "older" however.
Wait, maybe that's why Jacob keeps getting through, accidental votes.
Current as in "post-phonograph"?
James did "Closer to the Edge." That's on the radio now. And I'm in the video. For a split second. If you know exactly where to look.
LOL, you would be, you stalker!
As soon as I heard he was doing that song I thought of you
reasons why you should be watching the voice instead
It was filmed in Omaha
Now I get why you were so pissed at me in the other thread. I thought you were ubering James, but it was Leto you were carrying on about. Because it's 1996.
Didn't you say that in last week's thread? (It's too early for summer re-runs!!!)
i'm not sure, i was late to the voice party. that pic of the 4 judges on itunes all holding up two fingers was too to take seriously, like they are signaling aliens or something.
I had never even seen My So-Called Life until my sister bought the box set for my birthday two years ago.
Now I watch it a lot.
Jared is definitely easy on the eyes . I like quite a few 30stm songs, and loved him in My So Called Life.
Peter, just save yourself and only watch Haley's rendition of House of the Rising Sun. You can skip the others.
It would be nice if AI instead of having them do 2 songs, they let them perform a whole friggin song. I'm sick of the chopped up songs they do.
That may have helped James' performance on Closer to the Edge. It was chopped really weirdly.
On the other hand, I listened to the studio version, and it's not very good, either. So. Yeah.
I did watch everything and LOVED Haley singing "You And I". Best performance of the night, don't know what the judges were thinking. (Plus I'm tired of young people doing old moldy classics...I never want to hear any human on the planet sing "Stand By Me", "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay", "Georgia On My Mind", etc., etc. ever again!!!
P.S. I thought Jacob's vocals were one step this side of totally atrocious. It sounded like he was singing "No Air" in either a completely wrong key, or starting singing one octave too high!
I thought he came out singing an octave too high which is really crazy considering he was singing a womans vocals as it was so it was already set pretty high. He could not maintain it at all. It was probably his worst vocal and that says something. Well, until he went and made a complete fool of himself at the end of tonight's show. I hope Slezak let's him have it in the next Idoloonies.
Didn't quite rip him a new one, but he's no fan.
