Jacob singing "You're All I Need to Get By." Good vocals but his mannenisms scream "RuPaul's Drag Race" not "American Idol." :shuffle:

I noticed that as well. They made the backup singers louder than him. Maybe to prevent hearing him go so off key like he normally does? Not sure he even did that tonight but I get a strong feeling he is the producers pick right now or at least one of them.

Yeah I noticed the background singers being loud...but that seems to be the way it is a lot of times this year. They must have new sound people. I've noticed it sucking, multiple times.

miss ross had no range, i'm not sure how covering any of her songs shows off your vocal talent

(dear peter, this is in reference to lauren. mlp)

Lauren sounding great tonight. I know I am in the minority but I love her and her voice. She was pretty much pitch perfect and she has that one huge advantage over almost every other contestant.

actually really liking Lauren tonight, pretty on key, didn't find any flaws to it, sounded right on track. All seem to be bringing it so far I'm enjoying it. Though the flirting is kinda getting old...

She isn't the first to flirt with one or more of the judges since finals began and at least she did it with Randy this time. She has always done it with Steven before and she didn't even look at him this time. So I give her a pass.

Don't really get the judges orgasms over Lauren, her version of "Keep Me Hangin' On" was rather ho-hum to me. I did like her dress... although it was was too long on her.

Jacob was much better tonight but I just don't care for his voice or style. And I'm  Ryan letting fans on the stage and then calling the evening done.

Lauren sang well but was boring...

I still don't get it with Stefano, he just comes off as an amateur lounge singer to me, he is extremely nasally and his higher register is just not as strong as others in the competition, I just don't get it.

Stefano completely oversung it and Jimmy told him not too. blah

Stefano was ok for me...he seems a bit strained at times, and can sound a bit nasally as well.

Stefano sounds fine but I much prefer the understated version of this song.

is Stefano's "magical audience connektion" any less than the other people who sang tonight? this criticism seems over the top

Stefano does not do anything for me and that was an awful motown choice. I think "hello" would be his goodbye...

ITA. But at least it is some constructive criticism. I did think he connected with the song he sang to make the final 13 more than this, but still I felt he was as connected, if not more so than most of the other performers this week.

What's sad is almost all of this year's group could have been top 3 in other years.

Haley singing Gotta Hold on Me. She needs to go for the gutsy bluesy version of this.

LMAO! Did anyone else laugh hysterically at Haley walking down the steps? She came down sideways and with her head practically falling off to the left. So funny. Replay that if you DVR'd it. She just outgrowled Casey.
