Motown week! Song spoilers from the East-Coasterers are much appreciated!
I suppose you want us to identify the singer too rather than just snark about them.
JLo sporting blue eye-shadow in an homage to the sexy 60s?
Naima looks really good.
OK, Peter. Casey's singing Heard it through the grapevine.
He's growling like the Wolfman.
I like Casey and all but I am kind of over him. I can't imagine listening to an entire album of his nor sitting through an entire concert. Plus, I think he might be a little on the crazy side.
It would be great if you identified what he and she sings. For the others...whatevah.
I remember really liking Casey in his audition but for some reason now he just annoys me, he's a performer and I appreciate that but his voice just doesn't appeal to me...
ETA- Singing I heard it through the grapevine, I think somehow though the vine was slaughtered...
Casey well advised to scream less... unfortunately that only reveals what I have thought since the beginning... he can't really sing.
Oh he's screeching his way through "Heard It Throught the Gravepine."
Steven Tyler saying he has perfect pitch? What?
I just downloaded Anoop Desai's 9-song EP from Billboard.com. And you can too!
Casey....Heard it Through the Grapevine....he's wearing thin. Judges will love it.
Casey's new hair do does look nice though... too bad his beard still looks like a squirrel nest.
I'm working a puzzle and looking down quite a bit, but I happened to look up when she was judging Casey and at the eye shadow.
I guess Casey was better than when he was OTT growling and crazy... Did I hear Steven comment that he was on key? I'm not musically talented but he sounded off in several spots.
isnt heatwave one of those idol bad luck songs?
Thia much better this week, pretty girl and moving around big moments of power in her voice, very strong, but is she forgetting some of her words?
In my favorite performances of his during the audition rounds, he was not screaming or growling. For example, when he did Georgia on My Mind. His tone in the beginning of Teen Spirit actually was pretty nice. But, I don't really like it when he shouts and, unfortunately, I think he's been encouraged to get growly and shout and look crazy. None of his pre-Idol stuff that I've seen is really shouty and growly. He originally was going to sing a Boyz II Men song last week.
Thia singing Heatwave. It doesn't suit her at all. She can't sing a sexy song. I'm really disappointed in her compared to her auditions.
Did she forget the words and kind of get lost a little?
holy eyeshadow j lo, i think it goes all the way to her forehead
Yes, and it's not as if there are a lot of them.
Thia singing "Heatwave." Not much heat, but her voice and control are excellent for her age.
to be fair the words are stupid
Thia always looks lost to me, whether she's giving an interview or singing. at Heatwave. I can't believe the judges were positive with her, to me she added nothing to the song. It was like bad karoake, but worse b/c she didn't have a screen to remind her of the words.
Yes, mlp, I think everyone in the history of Idol to sing Heatwave ended up in bottom 3. I think they all survived though.
Thia sounded good at the start, but those high notes, eek. Casey gave his worst performance so far.
I miss Karen Rodriguez who probably would have done a Spanish "Aint too proud to Beg"
Good luck Jacob, Kelly Clarkson sang the hell out of this song and it was one of her weaker performances, lmao.
Jacob singing All I Need to get by.
Jacob sounds better tonight...definitely better when he controls it.
LOL...I guess Steven liked it.
Just put a damn wig on Jacob. It is a real drag show up there. What is wrong with me? I don't like his singing, at all...the judges rush the stage...
Ok, this is enough. Steven rushes the stage, they let fans on the stage. Why not just tell us to not even vote because he is going through no matter what.
Surprisingly, Jacob isnt nearly as annoying this week as he usually he is...
Jennifer pulling a Paula
I'm guessing Steven liked this.
