Once in twelve seasons, I think you're okay
Oh dear lord, the background on this is just turning Cortez into trainwreck karaoke. Blech.
My "vote for anyone who doesn't sing a ballad" does not extend to people who choose to sing Bruno Mars.
THIS. Though Bruno Mars was actually pretty good at the grammys. That being said, I won't be buying tickets to a Cortez concert anytime soon, or Bruno Mars...
I wish Mariah and Keith would just stop finding a way to be nice and just give an honest opinion, that was NOT a great vocal, I don't care about styling at the moment, show me your voice, and his wasn't that great tonight.
Why in the hell did the cameras feel the need to show us Charlie's mustache? icky!
Who told him sleeveless was a good look?
Interesting vocal, but I can't look at the screen.
I thought this was Kimmie Meissner?
That was a Zoanette level trainwreck...
charlie reminds me of a girl who would follow the indigo girls on the road
I think Charlie has some talent that needs more time to develop and right now he's just trying too hard.
I like Nick and there's potential in his voice, but I'm not sure if that's really going to light America on fire...
Dayumn, Burnell! I get WHY he picked that song even if though some may think it was cheesy, I appreciated it, he has a great voice, and I think has secured himself a spot in the top 10. He was great tonight.
I was on the phone. Did anyone sing a non-ballad?
Cuz Paul is giving us some overwrought dirge.
Paul was the first one I truly enjoyed tonight.
Oh my hell.
I actually switched this on tonight after watching a few of the chicks from last night on youtube (more about that later)....and came in on
some kid who looks a bit like a young Clay Aiken attempting to scream "Mama" by Genesis, and failing miserably.
Just one question, peeps:
How in the holy fcuk did he and that nutjob Zonette or whatever the fcuk her name is make it into the top ten?!! Were the auditions this year really that shitty?
Of all the singers I have seen (which admittedly isn't much), the only one I can tolerate at this point is that orphaned hippiechick from Nashville, Kree.
They're having a field day over at VFTW .
Paul does have an awesome voice, but he can certainly dial it back. I really enjoyed him and Burnell tonight but he doesn't need to strain and oversing it. I hope America realizes what potential this guy has. Because he has the potential to be a STAR if he learns how to reign in and control his voice.
Charlie is the one who Nicki went gaga over in the sudden death round, while insulting Tadeo.
I actually think that Bruno Mars is a pretty good singer. The problem is that the folks choosing to sing his songs are not good singers.
I can only see Adam singing "Feeling Good."
That said, Lazaro seems to be doing well. But I'm not lobbing my votes his way, either.
Lazaro was MUCH better than last week, still some moments here and there but he did a really good job, he's cute, he has a backstory that a lot of people can relate to so he's an easy lock for the top 10.
Agree with Princess L. that Adam Lambert set the bar so high with that song that no one could ever come close. But, Lazaro did well enough to most likely go through to Top 10.
I'm tired of these ballads.
Curtis is a fantastic singer but he's flamboyant and won't make it in top 5.
I'm not sure about him singing R. Kelly.
Singing "I Believe I Can Fly" should be cause for disqualification.
He's also a total jackass from what I've heard... and I think he thinks he is better than he is. He annoys the fcuk out of me...
I found Curtis affected and overwrought. And it gets a standing ovation.
Just shoot me.
Poor Curtis looks like he's passing a stone.
i believe that i believe i can fly may be the worst song i ever heard
Am I watching American Idol or am I in some scary mega church?
And God and R. Kelly should probably not be mentioned in the same sentence.
I despise that song.
Sorry judges, Curtis put me to sleep. I was a bit shocked at the ovation.
edit- I didn't know it was an R.Kelly song. No wonder it is dreck.
