Rachel needs to not take stuff so personally.

And I have no idea what Bopper is saying half the time...

eta: So I was busy slandering Prancer elsewhere on the board, and I missed why Army has a penalty. I thought they used their express pass?

Yeah, but they still needed to complete the next task with the bottles. Since he smashed them all they got a penalty.

Because he broke all the bottles in the last road block due to his pointy head.

The Border guards really are the best team. The Hicks work well together and are savvy racers, but the guards think fast on their feet. They were the only team to understand they had to stack the melons on the flat side to build the pyramid.

Why didn't they finish it? Do you only get a certain amount of tries?

I really don't know if I can put up with a full season of Rachel. Is this what Flo was like? :scream:

I presume they ran out of bottles.

And lots of rapidos on this episode.

Yes. There was a finite number of bottles and he broke all of them because he couldn't balance them on his head.

Oooh, real suspense now! Twin can't afford to break all the bottles.

Phil is tweeting that the greeter is the ex-girlfriend of a famous cyclist. Aaagghh, I can't place her.

ETA: She's Fiorella Migliore, the ex of current World Champion Mark Cavendish.

Not liking the show this go round. Was hoping some watermelons would crush a few teams. :shuffle:

Pre-race I thought the twins would be one of the teams to beat but they really self-imploded this leg. They'll always second guess not doing the watermelon task.

oh no, more fake crying from Rachel next week!

I am shocked that the preview showed Rachel crying in the next episode. Shocked, I tell ya. ;)

At least the express pass usage is out of the way.

I can't believe they used the speed pass already! Then they gave up doing the next roadblock! Gave up! How do they propose to stay in the game with that attitude?
Is Rachel gonna :wuzrobbed: the whole freaking season? What a wiiiiiiner! :wuzrobbed

 I know. I've seen every season of TAR (even the one that shall not be mentioned), but I don't know if I can hang with crying Rachel. The falling to her knees at the mat looked so fake (it probably wasn't but I'm  at her).

And I'm sitting here thinking she's Tanith's unknown Paraguayan twin. :shuffle:

:revenge: Brendan & Rachel. I'm glad there's some strong teams in Art & JJ and the army wife team that used the express pass (I still don't know his name.. I know she's Rachel, is he Dave?) that can potentially knock them off and prevent them from winning. I fear they (Rachel & Brendan) are going to be around til the end.

Am I the only one that thinks that Art & JJ are cocky? They have heads bigger than the watermelons that they stacked and I can't wait for their asses to get booted.

New respect for both the Hicks who are hysterical (....hotter than new love?) and clever for getting that taxi. And mad props to Vanessa. Not only does she make fun of Rachel, she didn't whine AND she and Ralph got thru that crappy task! I like her!

Sorry to see the twins go. And I'm glad to see that the Jersey boys finally got to use their brawn effectively.

Aw, I liked the twins a lot better than the reconnected exes - Brenchel are whiners, but Angel was a catty bitch. Then again, I'm a sucker for underdogs, and showing up last to a do-or-die challenge and kicking it is hard not to cheer.

Border Patrol had an incredible leg but they are beyond cocky.

Team Iraq Vet :wall: using the express pass when they were in no danger (and a ton of teams hadn't even shown up yet - come on!!), especially when there was clearly going to be another task on the leg (aside: it sucks that an express pass doesn't send them straight to the bathmat). At least they seemed to see that they had the time to wait out the penalty, and going through the bottles asap to get to the penalty was smart, even though I'm not a fan of giving up challenges.

Oh, and I call BS x infinity on Phil for saying "this is the 1st time a team hasn't completed a task and hasn't been eliminated". Convenient to forget Team Rombuh not only quitting an taking a 4 hour penalty but getting several other teams to do the same, thereby ensuring they would not get eliminated.

Didn't Rombuh complete another detour/roadblock that episode? Because I took Phil's comments to mean that this was the first time a team completed 0 tasks in an entire episode without being eliminated...

The Border Patrol have doomed themselves with all their talk of being the best racers yada yada yada. I was expecting them to be out this round due to all that type of talk, so I'm guessing they are out next week. It never comes of any good when a team talks up how great they are doing (even if its kinda true in this case) because usually then comes their downfall.

Yeah, I thought the border patrol team was going to get a big comeuppance in this episode too.

I suspect it will be the "teachers" who bring them down, probably on a girls vs guys strength task for maximum drama.

The :grope: factor for this season decreased significantly with the elimination of the twins. :wuzrobbed:

I don't know, I thought the twins looked too much like Ashton Kutcher :scream:

    :scream::scream: Rachel :scream::scream:

I cannot take her for an entire season. A toxic combination of whiney, dramatic, arrogant, entitled, prissy, passive and aggressive. Most Racers I've  throughout the years have each had two or three of those qualities ... but Rachel is an overachiever who possesses all of 'em. If I was a straight guy, at least I could enjoy her bodacious tatas ... but alas, there is nothing to redeem for me.

Please get hopelessly lost in Italy, Brenchel. I can mute my telly for the duration of said "hopeless lost-ness," then be free of her for the remainder of TAR20. Pretty please!!!???

Absolutely LOVING Bopper and Pukey! They're not just the stereotypical Southern hick team, ala David & Mary, but they've got guile and are witty in a pinch.

Agree - Team MexAway (aka BPA) is beyond cocky ... but whoa props to them for being very good racers. I think that they're the TAR20 favorites, especially now that Bickering Army Couple showed the propensity to both panic and to turn on each other under duress.

:cold: I didn't find the twins at all porny. Joey is the only one I find :swoon: worthy, but he severely mitigated the hotness quotient when he legally changing his name to "Fitness".

:shuffle: I thought for sure that Perky was snarking that she could see Rachel's hoo-ha, versus azz.

They didn't really give up on the roadblock though... they had a finite number of chances to complete the task, and he couldn't do it.

there's nothing to redeem for me either :scream: :drama:

They bugged me first ep, but I was really enjoying them last night. Which means they'll probably be gone soon, but :cheer2: Bopper/Pukey!

I think she was. That was what was censored out, anyway :shuffle:

I thought they made a strategic decision to take the penalty and he deliberately whizzed through the remaining bottles. It's true that he might have ended up not getting the task done anyway, so at least they reduced their overall time, but they talked about the penalty being the best choice for them, so yeah, I'd say they gave up.

I don't have a problem with it (other than it being totally unnecessary), but compared to the last two teams who both struggled and were shown dramatically affirming that they would do the tasks no matter how long it takes because they're not quitters...well, I'd say the editors had a definite opinion on GoodRachelandWhatsisname's choices this leg. :shuffle:
