And Louise and Owen are no longer skating for GB

Those errors are really bad. Is it meant to be Tiffany & Alexis, and if so, is he fully recovered?

This is proving a very unfortunate year for the French team on the illness/injury front:

Pechalat/Bourzat have withdrawn from Skate Canada due to Fabian's Bronchitis
Thomas Sozniak withdrew from the Estonia JGP due to problems with his miniscus which was operated on yesterday.
Lloyd Jones withdrew from Masters due to an ankle injury.
Alexis Miart has been out of competition since July due to a fractured ankle.
Neil Brown has only just resumed skating following his knee surgery in April.
Candice Didier was out with injury for some months earlier in the year.

Hopefully this is the worst point and things will pick up from here!

Yes and things are pretty hard for him. After 3 shows he has been twice in the bottom two.

My french isn't so good. I was wondering if we can vote for him from the US. I know George Clooney's old girlfriend was having Italians vote for her on DWTS in the states. http://www.tf1.fr/danse-avec-les-stars/

I didn't know he was on either but I accidentally found his twitter the other day. http://twitter.com/#!/P_Candeloro

I remember her akward fall from the Winter Universiade where she twisted her knee. I honestly think she's lucky she didn't end up tearing any ligaments like her ACL and is back on the ice now. It could have been a lot worse.

Will Tiffany/Alexis actually be competing at the Cup of Nice?

Amodio just posted on facebook that he will be working with his old coach Bernard Glesser whenever he is in France to "rediscover his love for skating". No update on how he will split his time between Moscow and France though.

    Absolutely.

Ouf ! The best decision he could make. He needs to spend the minimum of his time with Morozov or Dumont.

Joubert's had no luck whatsoever health-wise in recent years. Assuming he drops out of CoC, this will be the fifth straight year in which he doesn't do the GPF (counting the midway WD in 2008-9). I hope he'll recover quickly and do well the rest of the way.

If I had just finished 9th in a weak SA and seen my former training mate shatter his PB to finish ahead of two world champions (SP only, but still) I'd feel the need to rediscover my love for skating, too.

Very good news, regardless of what motivated it. Morozov got Amodio to be more consistent, but made him much less appealing.

    He's not leaving Morozov.
It's just he won't be next to dear old mummy Annick anymore.
At least, when he was working with both Glesser and Morozov, there were a lot of good stuffs coming out ... Annick on the other hand ...

Alban is doing some commentary for Eurosport France. Sounds like he has moved on from the competitive scene and is enjoying his new life!

Philippe Pélissier and Géraldine Pons (and Alban) for the Ladies at Skate Canada right now. Before that it was Philippe Pélissier and Richard Sette.

Florent Amodio posted this on his Facebook page Friday evening and also had it on his Twitter feed:

The gist of it is that he wants to get back his old (high) marks and his love of skating by spending some time with Bernard Glesser and his team in Cergy, while continuing to work with Morozov.

It looks like he posted that before Javier Fernández's Short Program at Skate Canada. I wonder how he feels now. :shuffle:

I think the IN story was probably based on an interview done a few weeks ago, despite the way it was phrased. I don't get the sense it's a serious injury, since he is still planning to do TEB - but a long flight is really not the best thing for any back injury.

    It's official,Brian withdrawed...

It's a pity :( especially many fans go to COC to support him...he's very famous in China among skating fans...

btw,Jinlin Guan withdrawed too...now only 8 skaters on the list...
