I am looking for a listing of Comps on the East Coast, is USFSA complete and best info?
Well, since the USFS has to sanction all these competitions, I don't know who else would have all that information.
Unless you want to look for ISI competitions as well, which are listed at http://www.skateisi.com (look under the "skaters" link for the list of sanctioned events).
The USFSA site will list their sanctioned competitions, but you'll have to search state-by-state if you only want the East Coast.
I believe their competitions are only listed after the USFSA Sanction has been approved, so the list changes sporadically.
It seems like major events, such as Nationals, stretches their staff thin, so things are added in batches rather than daily.
Of course, the USFSA does not list ISI competitions. For those, you have to go to the ISI website (http://www.skateisi.com/site/Sub.Cfm?Content=Events)
Thanks, I looked at the list on USFS and I know there are several comps I know they have every year that are not listed, That is why I am asking. Thank you!
Thanks, I thought what would Sylvia do and I found a great listing on Unseenskaters!
Thanks. Here's the direct link: http://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/competitions/
FYI, I usually start a general US club competitions news & results thread in the Kiss and Cry forum (FSU subscription or season pass is required for access) sometime in June once the club comp. season really gets underway.
Thanks so much!!! You are the go to person for the skating world!!!!
Hi Sylvia -
My club is hosting one in July - hasn't been announced yet. Can I let you know when it is finalized, so it can get on your list?
Sure. It will have IJS events, right? You can use the "Leave a Comment" form on the bottom of the Club Comps page as soon as you know the dates/have an announcement online and it will be added.
The New England InterClub Council site www.neicc.org, lists most of the competitions there, plus qualifying competitions and some other major events for scheduling purposes.
To get a lsiting on the NEICC and the USFS site, clubs have to send the information to the listmaster; it's not an automatic thing when the sanction is given out (although it should be, IMO).
Are we talking about competitions in my area (Hartford,CT.)? As I myself could always be kept updated too if anyone can please keep me updated, thanks.
