There's a U.S. specific thread here, but I couldn't find a recent Canadian one posted. Who's going? I'll be going to opening night again in Halifax and again posting a full review on my blog and I'll share it on here as well.

    The skaters are:

    Kurt Browning
    Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir
    Patrick Chan
    Joannie Rochette
    Jeffrey Buttle
    Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford
    Kaetlyn Osmond
    Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje
    Shawn Sawyer

The tour this year has stops in Halifax, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver!

I'll be at the Edmonton show as well and I got a meet & greet to go along with it, Really, did you get one of those too?

I'm actually really excited, I know it's an all Canadian line up but it's a FANTASTIC line up and I'm really looking forward to seeing the skaters relaxed and having fun. :)

No, I didn't, Kyle. Daughter is bringing her family and her youngest will be 5 months old by the time the show rolls around. I'm almost 2 hours from Rexall, so we'll be zipping into Edmonton, watching the show and then back home again. Dad is really good with baby, but...;) We are both really looking forward to this all-star line up!

Ah, gotcha! I'm just glad it will be on a Friday night. I made the mistake last year of having floor seats and wearing shorts. Needless to say I paid for it a couple days later. I won't be making that mistake this year!

I'm looking forward to seeing them let their hair down and have fun!

So does that mean no US skaters e.g. Ashley Wagner on the Canadian part of the tour?

^^^ Correct. The U.S. SOI tour (April 4 - May 18) overlaps the Canadian SOI tour this year.

    CSOI dates are April 25 - May 15, 2014.

I'm doing Toronto! I'm visiting my brother that week (timed it to coincide with CSOI and we're heading down to Detroit the weekend before for SOI too) and I'm so excited. I'm going on my own.

According to my cable guide, CSOI will be on CBC 9:00-10:00pm April 15th. Obviously this must be a repeat of last years show.

It would be great fun to meet! Emdee and I are usually in front row. And I think we should welcome AnnieD, coming all this way on her own! And from Scotland too! My Scottish husband will be at home, not that that has anything to do with anything.
Teenes, are you coming this year?

Sorry I left the l out of your name. Emdee and I have ice seats- so should be front... unless there's two rows of them. Not sure where to meet up in ACC.

Virtue, Moir and Patrick Chan (starting at 4-min. mark) are interviewed in Halifax: http://globalnews.ca/video/1288406/skating-stars-make-halifax-stop

Moir, in response to "What's next?", replied: "We probably won't compete for the rest of this calendar year" and Virtue said they were not ruling anything out.

    Midori,
The weather is getting a bit better though it was so cold yesterday morning that I had to yank my sweater out.

I think Nam posted the same thing on Twitter.

I wonder if his recent win as Junior World Champion led to the organizers deciding to invite him?

You're welcome Sylvia! For some reason, videos embedded in blogger don't always work if you're viewing from mobile or a tablet or something... who knows? I'm no technology buff... haha. At any rate, here's a direct link to the video of the finale:

I have several more pictures I didn't include (many turned out blurry) but there are some that didn't. If anyone's looking for anything specific, just shoot me a message with your email address. :)

I was at the show last night too. I scored excellent seats, row D, behind the players bench, centre ice (right on the red line).

I thought the show was excellent. Made me realize how privileged we are to have such a wealth of skating talent in Canada and get to see such a great show every year.

    Highlights for me were:

'stompa' with Kurt, Joannie, and Patrick. No one moves as good as Kurt Browning. He amazes me every time I see him with how good he really is. Dude can MOVE.

Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje. Love them and it was a real treat to see them skate their FD. Andrew is the hottest thing on skates and he even looks good in day-glo yellow with lime green jeans....lol!

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Loved both their numbers but especially 'Putting on my top hat.' Their edges really are silent. It's almost eerie.

Loved 'Try' with both Tessa and Scott and Kaitlyn and Andrew. I think that was my favorite of the night. Just gorgeous.

Meghan Duhamel and Eric Radford were great showing us why they have been so successful this past season.

I really enjoyed Patrick Chan's skates too, in particular the one with Michael Buble singing the Vanessa Williams song "Save the Best for Last."

Overall, it was a great show. It won't disappoint and I only wish I could see it again.

I really hope someone will upload videos of Shawn soon! Will the show be aired on Canadian tv and if so, when?
