Siudi in the house!!
Sylvia, are we the only ones posting?
I usually don't post much in pbp threads these days... we seem to have a bunch of lurkers around!
They need to come out and play (by play) -- I nned to go to sleep, but I also want to watch the Ladiezzzz after this, so I don't know what to do!
Kinda weird to see only two teams warming up.
It looks like an amazing crowd turnout though.
Hard fall on the throw.
Throw 3A attempt (fall) by Castelli/Shnapir!
wasn't it a quad sal?
Marissa and Simon on the ice...
triple twist nicely done
nice 3t with good synch.
throw 3a that was huge, but you knew she was going to bust her ass on the landing, which she did
more tango moves
lasso lift good speed
sbs spins atrociously out of sync at first, got it back, and promptly lost it again
slow portion of tango music w/ chor. to match
sbs 2a2t axels good, she wonked the landing on the toe
pairs spin v. slow and traveled out to the middle of the Pacific and back
throw 3s (?) landed nicely
press lift a little sloppy on positions
hip lift then her into hyper-extended HMV position, actually more of a HMC (C being cervix )
Crowd really likes them and are cheering like crazy .
An attempt at a quad, but it wasn't even close. Miraculously, Simon stood up on the sbs jumps though.
I'm trying to remember a pair with as consistently bad sbs spins as C&S. Even the early Chinese pairs sbs spins weren't this bad.
Well other than the fall, and the usual out of sync on the spins from Simon, it wasn't too bad of a performance...
115.12 = (TES 60.07, PCS 55.05, Ded. -1.00)
at Hao's mini braid!
How am I just noticing Hao Zhang's "rat's tail" now?
I'm glad they went for the throw 3A today - good FS score with the fall.
Quad twist by Peng/Zhang... she seems to have improved over the course of the season even though this flamenco music doesn't suit her, IMHO.
I don't think the ladies event at US Nationals has this kind of crowd turn out.
where is this being shown online?
Huge QUAD twist
sbs 3t2t landed well
press lift, weak positions from her, soft dismount
throw 3r landed, not much height or distance
sbs 2a, they almost collide, and she splats w/ poss. UR
sbs spins, good unison, but the twirly vomit-cam ruined the look of them.
soft choreography, slow music
gigantic throw 3s
lasso lift a little out of control during rotation, goes to straightline w/ him on one foot, but they're crawling
pair spin extremly slow.
WHY THE FECK DOES THE CAMERA ASSHOLE INSIST ON ROTATING THE CAMERA COUNTER TO THE SKATERS DURING SPINS?
another HMV rotational lift.
That felt like a 6 minute program.
I keep forgetting she's only 15 though. That was actually an impressive skate when I keep that in mind.
Wow, I didn't realize that was a quad twist!!!
Geo-blocked in Japan and Korea.
111.42 for P/Z
Since most people can view this on the ISU stream (or on TV if they're in Japan/Korea), I'm going to stop the PBP -- I'm trying to eat dinner (eys, I know it's the middle of the night , but I didn't eat earlier! )
Gotta say I love Hao Zhang. Here is a former Olympic and World medalist, having to start all over with an inexperienced skater nearly half his age and, I'm pretty sure, he's doing it to help the pairs situation in his country. He must know that they have no chance to place well and yet, he always has a smile on his face and seems to be the nicest guy ever, with no complaints. Love him.
Hao Zhang seems like a great team captain for Team China!
