Admins, please move if I didn't post in the right place. :)

Adult Nationals starts next week in Scottdale, AZ! It's only the third time ANs has been on the west coast. I'm wondering who here is competing/coming to watch?

Doug Razzano tweeted me that he's taking part in the Opening Ceremonies! :respec:

    Here's the event website.

I compete Friday afternoon, and am doing a watered-down program. No doubles, just a single axel and three Level 3 spins. My goals are getting the spin levels and increasing my PCS mark. I didn't have time this year to train my doubles at all this season (truly it's a miracle I can get through a program), and since they aren't worth a ton in points anyway, I'm leaving them out this year. :p

Who's coming and what are your goals?

    Good luck, manleywoman!

Phyllis and Dennis from my club are going. We are having a send-off party for them tomorrow night during club ice. Both are doing FS and Dennis is also doing Centennial Pairs. :)

am puzzled by the discipline names...
    'light entertainment'
    'centennial'
    'dramatic skate'

are these usual events ? can you tell a bit more about those ?

Light Entertainment and Dramatic are Interpretive events and describe the style of program that is being presented. Centennial Dance and Pairs are for skaters aged 50 and over. Both partners must be over 50 to participate in Centennial

Really excited to hear the stories coming out of AN. I wish I could be there this year- flights were just way too much for me.

I see a whole lot of people are doing well/having fun from my Facebook. I didn't go this year - too far away plus we went on spring break with my high school senior son.

Thanks! It was fun to write too. I'm also doing articles for Skating Mag. :)

I hav to say this was one of the best ANs I've ever attended. The LOC was amazing, and it was so nice for so many elite skaters to either participate (Alex Johnson, Ethan Burgess, etc) or come out and watch (Adam Rippon, Doug Razzano).
