Thanks, guess I misunderstood my aunt. :coffee: Her cable had to be fixed today, and she said it had to be fixed in time for Longmire.

LOL! My aunt also loves that show and she mentioned it last week on Facebook so your post here kind of confused me. However, my aunt is crazy so it didn't phase me even one bit that she might have no clue about what she is watching and when.

What's with the aunts & Longmire? I think it must be the hunky Australian actor who plays the lead. ;)

I just watched the season premiere. I loved the first season and was ambivalent about the second season, but the third season definitely has promise. I was bummed watching the opening credits and noticing that some familiar faces were not there (Michelle Forbes, etc.), but then I saw Peter Sarsgaard listed :swoon:. So, we shall see.

I was particularly  when Holder's girlfriend, played by the actress who played Kaylee on Firefly, was teasing him about his "Serenity" tattoo.

I loved the first season of The Killing but I haven't been able to get through much of the 2nd season. It is just dreadfully slow and at this point I just want to know who killed her and move on. I heard the season 2 finale was awesome so I am thinking about just watching that and finding out who did it and moving on. The lead actress is just insufferable most of the time. I can't figure out if it is the actress or the character. I noticed she is cast in World War Z which is shocking to me. I find her much too plain to be Brad Pitt's wife.

I am growing wary of Defiance. I understand the necessity of subplots but there are wwwway to much of them and each a bit sillier than the next and i do not like soap operas at all but this show is rivalling Y&R is twists and turns. Since Longmire is on at the same time I might just switch to it instead.

I watched the finale. I was  that apparently (judging by his photo in the bunker) the president at the time of the blackout was G.W. Bush. So is he supposed to be the Mr. President hiding in Guantanamo (this was shown briefly at the end and labelled as "United States Colony") and orchestrating the nuking of Philadelphia and Atlanta?

I had to watch "encore presentations" last night to keep up. Watched Defiance on SYFY at 9, Revolution on NBC at 10, Teen Wolf(encore) on MTV at 11:05 and Warehouse 13(encore) on SYFY at 12. Enjoyed them all.

I couldn't fit in "Mistresses" on ABC at 10. Did anyone watch it?

And does anyone play the "Defiance" game online?

Wow, that statement is shocking to me. I agree she doesn't have an obvious beauty like most female hollywood stars ... but what does it say that we have become so completely socialized to a notion of on-screen beauty that we can't accept a couple if the woman is less attractive than the man? I can name dozens and dozens of TV & movie couples where the woman is considerably more attractive than the man.

But I am not just talking about her looks. She shows zero emotion in her face. Again, I am not sure if this is a reflection of her as an actress or just the character as I have not seen her in anything other than The Killing. She constantly has this dead pan/slightly grumpy look on The Killing. Apart from that, what I am saying is a reflection on Hollywood as I'm shocked they cast her. I am well aware this is only a movie so my surprise at her casting does not reflect any sexist views in the real world.

^ Well that makes more sense. I guess it was the word "shocking" that struck me -- it's certainly true that Hollywood rarely casts outside the expected norms, so a deviation from that pattern is somewhat of a surprise, but when I read "shocking" it sounded like you were reacting negatively.

BTW I've seen Enos in several other things and she's certainly capable of more range than the tightly-controlled character she plays on The Killing.

On the new season of The Killing, which started Sunday, she displayed a lot more range than usual; there was one scene that was so un-Linden like that I was startled. In fact, I didn't like it because it seemed like too radical a departure for Linden as we knew her for the first 2 seasons.
