Not clear AT ALL what kind of a debate and/or discussion you want us to get into. Can't read Korean anyway...

Well, consider it more like a news. I don't mind admins moving this thread to Trash can.
For Korean websites, just see pictures.

I'm not sure that I would consider something about two world and Olympic champion skaters actually SKATING needs to be relegated to the "other sports" section. I, for one, was glad to see it posted out here, so thank you to the OP. Perhaps the first post might be retitled "Kim and Kwan skating at Special Olympics," edited down to include just some of the picture and the video link, and then a link provided to the other thread, which is about all the Winter Special Olympics, not necessarily just about skating. Thanks for posting this event. I am not very familiar with where articles should be posted on this site. I agree that the number of pictures is quite long and should be shortened--but, I think they are clear and lovely. The you tube link is simply wonderful.

Most of all, I am grateful for the grace and beauty of these two world class skaters. And, I respect the fact that Michelle and Yuna not only performed for such a special audience, but that they are also part of this ongoing humanitarian effort . They should be commended for their participation in the Special Olympics. Two classy ladies!

Yea, I really admire those two skaters. Yu-Na should have been busy preparing for the upcoming Worlds, and Michelle should have come to Korea right after her honeymoon.
Great dedication and commitment. Truly amazing.

How about anything bring Michelle back on ice is worth a look and discuss on a figure skating board?

How about Yuna Kim, who's doing so much work to raise awareness for the special Winter Olympics games these last weeks while all her peers are busily prepare for the world championships, made them great public servants and credit to the sport and the Olympic movement?

I don't care who knows it, but I just love these two, who makes a great dynamic team that made great tribute to the sport and continues to raise figure skating as a Winter Olympic premier event. I love the fact how everything comes together like part of one long legacy, and that memories are never forgotten and are meaningful beyond scoring/points/ranks/medals. How the greats can continue to inspire the young and be life changing. Without Yuna (who also volunteered and taught the special Olympics team), would there be Korean Gold and Silver medalists at the figure skating for the Special Olympics? Are these random coincidences?

Likewise, without a Midori Ito, would Japan been so obsessed with 3A that resulted Mao's amazing feat to land 3 x 3A at the Winter Olympic games? If Midori and Mao goes on the ice today at any event, I'd love to see it and appreciate those who'd refer them here. Life is short and I hardly ever visit other parts of the forum beyond the GSD and Trashcan.

I have always believed any Olympics event deserve as to get as much media attention and recognition. Having lived through and experienced the Summer Paralympic games in London made me appreciate so much about all athletes and human potentials. Global events that held a mirror to highlight peak human achievements that we don't hear about every day. The more the press the coverage, the better. Don't suppress it, celebrate it. It is a pity not more English reports are out there for this event, and these two are trying to raise awareness are doing a wonderful job with what they can.

Don't understand all the discussion about this thread being here. Michelle looks like she hasn't missed a beat. I wonder how much she skates now and where.

Michelle still can dance to any music. It's surprising how "clunky" Yuna looks next to her:dog:

    I love Yuna btw

Really great to see Michelle and Yu-Na skate together again.
'Hero' by Mariah Carey was a perfect music for them and especially for everyone involved in the Special Olympics. :)

This pictures are the biggest ad for banning the over the boot tight ever. they look ghastly next to the white boot, and certainly isn't doing anything for Yuna's line.

I thought so too. Maybe it's, partly, at least, due to her culture/upbringing?
    Kwan was definitely enjoying herself!

I don't think Yuna looks clunky. I just didn't like the choreography. It's like they were both out there totally doing their own separate thing apart from each other (although very gracefully and lovely!) Also, Yuna's dress kind of faded her into the shadows. :(

It was fun seeing Michelle skate gangnam style!
