Translating to English from Japanese.
For the public performance from tomorrow, the rehearsal was held today.
Some 20 domestic and oversea players, such as 'Shizuka Arakawa who is the gold medalist of Turin Olympics' and 'Yuzuru Hanyu who is expected to get a medal in Sochi Olympics next year', participated to the rehearsal.
They faced the rehearsal so as to ascertain the condition of the rink elaborately.
The person who got attention also among them was Miki Ando who appeared to the public place for the first time after releasing the childbirth. She practiced the Jump etc. repeatedly with the relaxing look.

Miki Ando said, "Because, in any competition also, I had not been nailed to the 100 percent jump from the first, I think that it is good if I can advance forward at one step or even at the half step in a day after doing clear from the such part".

I heard Wilson and Orser are involved in FaOI as choreographers. If so, I think it's rare for them to visit Japan to choreograph show numbers in these couple of years, right?

The former Worlds champion Miki Ando (Shinyokohama Prince Club) who expressed that she will aim at the Olympics after 10 months, participated to the ice show "Fantasy on Ice" in July 6th and showed the performance in front of the audience for the first time after announcing the childbirth.

The program which she skated to was "Dear Mama" which sang the gratitude to the mother. She showed the smooth skating according to the vocal of an artist "AI". In the second program "Amazing Grace", She received big applause from the audience because she made "the triple jump of the problem" succeed beautifully.

According to Yuzuru Hanyu Forum he was the closer of today's show. He skated to a collaboration number with AI "Story". He was in a good shape today and in a quad battle in the finale he went for 4T-3A as always and landed it clean.
You can see what other skaters skated to there

Amazing thing is the people there are not native Japanese speakers, most of them don't know a word of Japanese except for one member or two. I'm always astonished at how they are eager and enthusiastic in collecting infos, news , clips, etc of him using online translations. Their speed of updates is one of the fastest among Hanyu fans in the world imo.

The broadcast was two hours long, but the actual show was longer, so all performances were not included in the broadcast. Unfortunately, although Johnny is a great show skater, he is neither one of the most titled ones in that show, nor Japanese, so they only showed one program from him.

Shizuka has been very thin for a long time. Actually, she goes from being this thin to being just a bit less thin all the time, but the last year or so she has been very, very thin indeed.

Is it me or Besedin/Polishchuk are in as high demand on the figure skating market as the champions of figure skating? I bumped into B/P in China, then Korea, now I see them in Japan and I'm pretty sure they also performed in Russia. In the same season. Who says one would need titles or medals if they want to go really international in ice shows? lol ;)
Good for them.:kickass:

If my memory is correct, they have performed at PIW, Prince Ice World, Tours in Japan for many years. I guess they succeeded in expanding their market in Asia mainly because of the high qualities of their performances. And the other reason is Sochi　Olympics is coming. Anyway good for them.:) Talking about their market, I guess their biggest rival is Zaldua /Sukhanov ;)

Thanks for all the links everyone!

They represent a different genre of skating (if it can be called that :D), and are considered the best in that genre, so that's not exactly the same. Actually, I remember reading somewhere that they are world champions in that genre (acrobats on ice), although I have never heard/read of such competitions. But, if I don't know of them, that doesn't mean that they don't exist.
